Friday night Top of the Table clash

Recommended Posts

Honestly can’t wait for this one, Last Friday night game was a superb atmosphere in and around the local pubs then onto the game with Killie bringing over a 1000, Could be even more this time, Should be a blockbuster, Both teams fantastic defensively and on the attack with plenty of options on the bench, Serious question for the Killie fans as obviously massive favorite’s all along for the title but did you expect to be going head to head with Arbroath for it this late in the season and how would you personally rate both teams season this far? 🇱🇻💙

Obviously very impressed at how well Arbroath have done this season, my girlfriend's father is a massive fan ( I've mentioned this many times previously so apologies for repeating myself) and to see the joy this season has brought him is amazing, they have a really good team spirit and energy, they seem to keep going to the end of matches and grabbing late winners, all credit to the brothers Campbell, I suppose looking back over the last few seasons it looks like the folk running the club have been slowly improving the off field stuff ( the supporters wall being one example) there's a real genuine engagement with the community and now the on field stuff is clicking into place, I thought the Q&A with Dick after last weeks game had been cancelled was a really nice touch.

As for Killie things are on the up, optimism is back, DM has made some really good signings and we look organised and galvanized on the pitch, DM has been a breath of fresh air, really excited for this one.

You’re obviously celebrating your big team winning tonight. Enjoy your night.

We get targeted with enough of this kind of patter ourselves without further adding to the myth that everyone's secretly an OF fan.

Going into the season we obviously never expected Arbroath to be in the mix, but Dick has sprinkled his magic dust. There’s a real belief about the team and it’s massively refreshing to see the team do so well. I think we will be champions, but no reason why Arbroath can’t take second spot and scud the SPL team in the playoff.

It kind of reminds me of the last season we enjoyed under Sir Steve of Clarkeville. Went into each game without fear and the team was set up to deliver points every week. It was only after the window closed the big bad two stretched away after we’d lost a couple of big players, but we were still totally merited in finishing 3rd. I’m hoping this is what happens for Arbroath (with us being the big bad 1 ahead of them obviously) and the new recruitment should definitely give us an edge as the season progresses.

We’ve a huge week ahead with 2 home games against A*r & the Pars, and a positive result tomorrow night added to beating Caley last Sat could see us stretch our legs at the top.
