Aberdeen 1 (dodgy penalty) St Johnstone 1

What would it take for Davidson to switch from a 3-5-2 to...anything else?

Teams must love playing us. They know exactly what they're going to get every time they face us.

Brown could be useful in a 4-4-2, but a 3-5-2 featuring Brown is one without any attacking threat down the right flank. Actually, it's worse than that: Brown is a liability in attack. We may as well be playing with ten men.

Davidson doesn't play to the environment, the strengths of the opposition or even the strengths of his own side—it seems the only thing guiding his tactical decisions and team selections is familiarity.

He's as cautious about switching tactics as the avg. person is about switching careers; it's almost like he believes every tactical change is one huge leap into the unknown. That shouldn't be the case for a manager in the top flight.

Sorry to hijack the thread but before the next instalment of piping hot cinch action kicks off, I’m in Aberdeen for work and Staying just off Union Street. Any Dons got any suggestions for a decent pub nearby for a pint or two?

We may win this but is Callum Davidson the most risk averse manager in the entire world? Too scared to even play his new signings is a worrying place to be. Can you survive being this cautious?

TBH being defensively sound and catching Aberdeen on the counter is probably the way to beat them under Stephen Glass. Guess the question is whether they'll have the same issues under a new manager.

I'd guess Robson will be desperate to show some high octane attacking football so we'll either get demolished or have some fun watching the slowest team in Scotland trying to counter attack every 2 minutes.

Union Street is a mile long.

Loads of pubs on and off it with most showing Champ League
