HibeeJibee
Shock of the day was clearly Dalkeith's high scoring win at Premier leaders Linlithgow. Other impressive results are Edinburgh United's victory at Whitburn, Armadale's win at Glenrothes, and Edinburgh College's home draw with Inverkeithing. There were eyewatering scorelines on the road for Leith, Whitehill and Camelon while Kirkcaldy won a remarkable game at Kinnoull by the odd goal in 9. HibeeJibee
Glenrothes 5-1 Tweedmouth Rangers Comfortable win for Glenrothes. Due to other cup commitments this section has made a sluggish start which won't be helped by cancellation of Jeanfield-Thornton which was due Wednesday. Dunipace 5-3 Stirling University EOS Preston Athletic 5-3 Bathgate Thistle Dunipace win a high-scoring encounter whilst Preston blow away Bathgate. Early running points to an interesting pool... toiling Premier side LTHV in the hunt beside 2 strong First Divisioners. Newtongrange Star 0-1 St Andrews United Sauchie (eight) 8-0 Rosyth Shock result at New Victoria Park, meanwhile Sauchie devastated Rosyth. Also holding Bo'ness Athletic this is a candidate for 'Group of Death' - and St Andrews win only adds to that sense. Rosyth practically eliminated. Burntisland Shipyard 0-4 Edinburgh College Newburgh 0-4 Dundonald Bluebell Remarkable scoreline in Fife last night gives these students a real chance to progress: win over Newburgh and a draw in Dundonald could well be enough. Dundonald get the job done today. Burntisland and Newburgh both practically eliminated. Broxburn Athletic 10-2 Craigroyston Leith Athletic 3-2 Coldstream Broxburn ruthlessly crushed their visitor while Leith came from behind to win a tight contest on Peffermill astro. It looks like they'll joust for top spot unless Fauldhouse gatecrash the party. Coldstream and Craigroyston both practically eliminated. Crossgates Primrose C-C Arniston Rangers Hill of Beath Hawthorn 2-3 Edinburgh South Real surprise in Fife as Edinburgh South lead their Premier hosts by 2 goals, got pegged back to 2-2, only to score a late winner. Another section falling a bit behind with Arniston still to play. Heriot-Watt University 1-1 Haddington Athletic Lochgelly Albert 1-4 Musselburgh Athletic It took a late equalised to deprive Heriot-Watt of victory over high-flying Haddington while it took until after HT for Musselburgh to suppress Lochgelly's resistance. Looking a tight section. Lochgelly practically eliminated. Dunbar United 0-1 Kennoway Star Hearts Whitehill Welfare 3-2 Ormiston Impressive win for Kennoway, away to a Dunbar side whose season is descending into difficulties. Whitehill weather a late Ormiston comeback to maintain their 100% record and top place. Tranent 4-1 Lochore Welfare Took in this tie last night... as the Premier title contender blew the Fifers away with 3 quick goals in an often breathless opening half. After the break it was more even; but damage was done. Lochore practically eliminated. Blackburn United 1-1 Dalkeith Thistle Luncarty P-P Linlithgow Rose Dalkeith have made an astonishing start to their League Cup program bringing off 4pts from 2 away ties with Premier opponents. Blackburn v Linlithgow in midweek suddenly vital for both. Edinburgh United 3-3 Oakley United Penicuik Athletic 5-1 Peebles Rovers Topsy turvy sounding contest at Paties Road ultimately ended honours even. Penicuik plugged away and ultimately thumped their visitors from over the hill. This looks a 'well-poised' group. Peebles practically eliminated. Nittenrab
HibbeeJibee, your doing a great job on the forums mate but with regards to Edinburgh College FC , please drop the ‘students’, ‘academics’ etc from your reports. ECFC are just a normal football club like others but unlike Heriot Uni, Edinburgh Univ. I don’t even think there is any players at the college. Rant over , cheers.

parsforlife
So are Edinburgh college basically a more modern Hamilton accies. Formed out of the college but over time became independent? Edit- the club officials given on the EoS website all use college email addresses so there’s clearly some affiliation Edited March 13, 2022 by parsforlife

Yes they are College backed but have no policy in picking college students only. They already have a team that play in the Uni/college leagues and they have to be a student. This is an independent football club backed by the college open to all.
