Staggies v Steelmen, 18th Jan

Recommended Posts

Big Bevis can absolutely cruise through about 80% of games but still turn in an absolutely brutal performance every now and then. Tonight is one of those nights.

Worst point was the county fans singing ‘Motherwell get battered everywhere they go’. Keep that for England games/darts lads.

Ross County have had two shots on target and have 3 goals. That is how shite we are and have been. Too many players have piss poor performances in them. Often it is the same ones and usually in defence.

I had bad vibes for tonight and sadly they have been realised. At least United are losing. Small consolation and all that.

Better get the finger out ahead of Morton on Saturday or we will be looking at another embarrassment 🤬

The fact that nothing has changed throughout the game is surely a problem on Alexander? How is he not telling someone else to take it or even do something different?

Long throws in the bin OR put someone short of Mugabi instead of letting defenders get a free run at the clearance.

Lacking up front tonight. Van Veen did ok but we just couldn't get enough going forward. i don't think Goss Maguire and Donnelly have enough going forward. Needed more in the midfield and disappointed Cornelius didn't get on straight after the red card.

And who told O'Donnell he could take a corner.

Pretty sure thebsquad just expect to win this game, just like the Dundee away games, the Airdrie away..... and now the Ross County away.

Really need to get our finger out for the next couple of games. Morton will be tough no matter how they are doing position wise. Then it's hibs then Hearts who sandwich us currently in the league.

Why are corners such a hard thing for us to change up? Start of the season it was the stupid short one every time, now we just have O'Donnell shelling them long and high beyond everyone.

On the game itself, a simply woeful effort after the sending off. A lot of sub par performances, but Alexander needs to shoulder a fair portion of the blame for not making changes when it was clear nothing was coming off. Big improvements required to avoid an embarrassment on Saturday.
