Queens v Kilmarnock

If we believe the old adage that these “big” decisions even themselves out in the course of the season then we can all look forward to a few “free gifts” of our own in the second half of the season!!!!! Another shocking refereeing blunder  but there is no disguising the fact that Nditi continues to give away really stupid fouls in dangerous areas - daft penalty against ICT, a crazy sending off at Cove, two needless free kicks at EEP that resulted in goals and another silly foul on Shaw today. It is tough enough trying to compete with key players out but our lack of discipline and poor decision making is not helping.

Killie were much the better side and were well worth their win regardless of Colin Steven’s blunder and generally poor performance.

In the absence of 4 of our best players today in McKay, Gibson, Cochrane and Cameron this was always going to be a big ask and so it proved. Clearly our player absences coinciding with Ayr and Morton improving their fortunes doesn’t help the cause. We definitely  need some big results and the sooner the better.

A New Manager bounce along with 4/5 new players then Queens might just be saved from relegation as things stand its seaside league next season

Time for the board to react they have sacked managers with better records, I believe it's as easy as a text or phone call GET IT DONE.

Queens could have played on all night and not scored but the joke pen finished the game .

Thought at the time it was outside the box as well 

Never a pen or even  a foul he should have been booked for diving that is one thing Killie are very good at.

Even Burke after a dive told us in the crowd he had dived go near a Killie player down they went

We played well today, with a bit more attacking purpose from start. Not always been the case

Others have said, but i thought QOTS coverage was great. Commentators balanced opinions, knew the opposition players and complimentary about them…Even having replays and balanced coverage. Puts a few of the other teams in league to shame. We see you Hamilton…

Yes, there's such a thing as loyalty, but there also needs to be something reciprocal in the relationship between club and fan.

There is currently very little genuine incentive to attend games.  That's reflected in what's been happening to gates before restrictions and is likely to resume after them. 

If patting yourself on the back for being a "football fan" helps you cope, then so be it.  It's likely to become increasingly lonely though.

Never at the races today again but at least at 0-0 and 0-1 we had a chance of nicking a point with 11 men on the pitch. I thought Killie caused problems going forward all first half. Their front two caused our centre halves problems winning in the air, holding up the ball, linking up together as a partnership and also linking with midfielder who ran beyond them. Compare that with Queens attacking threat - long punt from the back across the half way line with a 50:50 chance our lone striker was near it and if he was and won a header no one to pick it up. Their front two occupied our back 4 the whole time but Killie defenders had all the time in the world to pass amongst themselves and and find a team mate. We were the home team

Feel sorry for Queens fans watching that week in and out. Wasn't long ago you were challenging from promotion was it, when Dobbie scored about 100 goals or something?

Hard to judge how much of an improvement it was for us as you were pretty poor

We would have been relegated if not for Dobbie and Dykes that season. A lethal front two and even then we were nowhere near the top, sadly.

Aye your last point is spot on. From a Killie/McInnes point of view it's a great start. A comfortable 3 points, a couple of goals, dominating the game and not even conceding a shot on target. But wait until you play a semi-competent before you judge how things are. Remember you're thread about 'Are Killie hitting their stride' (something like that) was made after you gubbed us up at Rugby Park. Fair to say that was a false dawn and down to how shite we were that day as well.

Aye that 4-0 was more cracks being papered over from Wright's side. You should have scored right after ht which would maybe have made it interesting but you were so passive that day it made us looked better than we were.

I think McInnes realises this, one of the first points he made in his 1st day interview was we need an injection of pace and today he saw how unbalanced we are.

He admitted tonight he had spoken with players already at the club as well as others before he was even named manager. Maybe some leaving? who knows.

Alan Preston, the football agent, did say on Sportsound this afternoon he expects us to sign 2 this week, maybe he knows something in the offing.

We made the play offs in the season Dobbie scored a club record of 43 goals in a season.

Sadly it was the relegation play offs so we were nowhere near a promotion spot.

For decisions to balance out and QOTS to start getting penalties, you'd need to get in to the opposition's box first for that to start happening. 

Or at least to five yards outside, if it's yesterday's referee.

Deliberately waited to today to comment on this.  Yesterday was awful!

As others have already said Kilmarnock were well worth the win without being particularly impressive.  Consistently they had the freedom of Palmerston to pick passes at will.  By contrast our approach was aimless punt up the park followed by aimless punt up the park.  A senseless exercise in which the ball was just returned back to our box.  The whole body language of our team yesterday (and against Hamilton) was of a group of players no longer playing for their manager.  Watching us just now is like watching a bad horror movie over and over again.

I have long since lost patience with our manager and the same tired excuses every week.  It would appear that I am far from alone in this.  The lack of action from our board is baffling.  We have sacked better managers with better records before now.  They need to act now while there is still time, or League 1 beckons!

I was talking to a couple of sponsors earlier today and even they’ve had enough. If nothing changes they’ll be withdrawing their financial support next season.
