Scottish League 2 Trapdoor Watch 2021-22

Every present part time League team in the country should be worried.

3 bad seasons on and off the park and you're looking at some playoff in banjo country near a roundabout in Ayrshire.

...and whatever you do don't comply when they ask you to squeal like a pig. Hopefully said part time clubs will realise it is in their long term interests to open up pro/rel to the same format used elsewhere in an SPFL context so it is easier to bounce back again.

We hear regular arguments from lower levels in the pyramid that there must be automatic relegation from the SPFL… with the level immediately below for most teams discussing whether to have three rather than two guest sides, and the one below that having a vitriolic argument about a game abandoned because a team turns up with only seven players.

Shocked to see a supporter of side on its way to start circling the drain is all against relegation.

It's a slow burner, but before long the Lowland will resemble the National League down south, full of ex spfl clubs down on their luck. Hopefully the return to greatness can be more straightforward than the need for play-offs etc. Two up and down would be good, at least the relegated clubs would see a path back  to the spfl. Good luck to Cowden, hope the fans stick around in decent numbers.

Can't see League Two clubs being terribly enthused about 2 down out of 10.

And why should they. Why should they be the only league to have two automatically relegated.

Bottom automatically relegated and a playoff will work just fine.

It would keep all the divisions consistent, the LL should be doing the same.

Not against relegation - just want the destination to be somewhere better-run than the Lowland League currently is.

We’ll be much more likely to finish bottom than top next season. I think people that haven’t seen us play will think Sons fans are being dramatic, but 10th is a very distinct possibility.
