God Save The Queen

The way I look at it there’s two options if Lizzie dies.

The first is god didn’t save her because he* couldn’t because he* doesn’t exist.

The second is that he* does exist and didn’t save her because he* hates the royal family.

The logical conclusion is that it is not possible to be an admirer of the royal family AND believe in god.

* For the purpose of this post the mythical creature is masculine on the basis that men f**k things up more than non-men.

That's it GD, that is indeed the only logical conclusion.

Historians, scholars, scientists and philosophers can now be stopped in their tracks.  You've got it all worked out.

Anyone on here ever met or spoken to or been spoken to by a member of the Royal Family?

I'm not a fan of the monarchy but I also don't get wound up or as angsty as some do on here.

When I was in P5 Big Liz visited the town my school was in and we literally had to do some formal Scottish dance performance where she watched on. So the Queen has literally seen me buss it down.

Could have been me...

I had to build a temporary corridor between a theatre box and the bog so Princess Margaret could go for a shite and a snort mid performance without anyone noticing. Does that count?

Prince Philip once told me to "Get out of the bloody way" at a carriage driving event that my girlfriend at the time's mother was competing in.

I have never felt as proud, forelock-tugging or servile in the following 38 years. Gawd bless his decomposing corpse.

Queen to miss Friday events after 'discomfort'

We've just had this from Buckingham Palace:

Quote Message: The Queen greatly enjoyed today’s birthday parade and flypast but did experience some discomfort. Taking into account the journey and activity required to participate in tomorrow’s National Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral, Her Majesty with great reluctance has concluded that she will not attend. The Queen is looking forward to participating in tonight’s beacon lighting event at Windsor Castle and would like to thank all those who made today such a memorable occasion."

It was the only way anyone from Rohan would turn up.

True story that Prince Phillip spent the last 18 years of his life telling people to get out of the bloody way.

It was usually pedestrians while he was driving though.

I'm no monarchist. I have nothing against Liz 2 personally but her family have been a complete clusterfuck and as a result a total embarrassment to the country as a whole. I want her to live another couple of years just so she can break Louis XIV's all-time record so the country can stick one up Francois Frog but after that I don't give a flying one. If the royals have to exist it should be low-key and less privileged like the Scannies and the Belgian/Dutch.

The Sex Pistols summed it up nicely....

Quote

God save the Queen
A fascist regime
They made you a moron
Potential H-bomb

God save the Queen
She ain't no human being
There is no future
In England's dreaming

Don't be told about what you want
Don't be told about what you need
No future, no future, no future for you

God save the Queen
We mean it, man

Terrific to see Royalist forelock tuggers absolutely seething at the "Prince Andrew is a sweaty nonce" tune making it up the charts. If this is how they react to an entirely acceptable piss-take out of her paedo son, they'll be absolutely crushed when the selfish old boot finally croaks. Tremendous stuff.

'Francois Frog' had the sense to empty them in 1789.

Anyone on here ever met or spoken to or been spoken to by a member of the Royal Family?

I was working on the QE2(the ship not the person) in 1990 and they came on for the 150 celebrations of Cunard Line.
They walked through the Casino where we worked and we were all standing at the gaming tables. The only person Phil spoke to was a croupier from Belfast. I won’t tell you what side of the city she was from, but I don’t think she would be welcome back there now! [emoji23]

I personally have nothing against HRH but just feel the whole institution is outdated and I can totally understand the ‘discomfort’ she felt as I certainly felt the same when I saw any coverage of it yesterday.

Not me but my partner was. We moved into a new build/renovated development of a historical building in Forfar a while back and Edward and Sophie as Early and Cuntress of Forfar were invited to tour about the place for some weird reason. I was at work and got a text from her asking if I wanted to come home and meet them when they were to do the rounds speaking to residents. f**k off 😂

Apparently they were down to earth and VERY funny.

We're not even halfway through this shite and already Liz has sacked it and today's festivities will feature "the biggest bell in Britain"

How dare you. Nicholas witchell is by far the most entertaining part of this entire theatre.

If Meghan markle could release some sort of statement in the middle of one of nicks live broadcasts then it could be a historic moment for tv.

Big Liz? I don't think that was the Queen.
