Listening to some chat on the radio and apparently the NY Times can get their value from it just by placing it on their own platform.  That way players see all the other wonderful stuff they do and can expand their customer base worldwide.

So it's effectively NY Times ads or other ads.

My gut instinct too altho I imagine the current 1 puzzle per day will go...
