It is a good appointment for Killie, based on the overall level of Scottish football. If he was that good he’d have been snapped up by a Champioship club in England or even a L1 club. He wasn’t exactly successful at Bristol City. Aberdeen’s level is probably equivalent to L1 down south.

Certainly I would expect McInnes will be able to get more out the squad at Killie and know how to break teams down given his time at Aberdeen, so have to think Killie are back to being favourites to go up.

I expect them to get promoted and if they do then he can play counter attacking football next season which is where I felt he always excelled.
