@Craigieboy86 great to have you on P&B friend, keep posting! 👍

@Trogdor and @rgrieg ... don't beat yourselves up over this, you weren't to know. One of the downsides of digital communications.

Have a great Xmas everyone.

I thought youse sacked Alessio too soon. He didn't look to be doing that bad a job.

Killie boys will know but i thought at the time some of the players had chucked it under him, once that happens there is no way back.

In fact i think that was when the bold Kirk Broadfoot got transferred to us, talked some shit in the press, Alessio got sacked so bought out his own contract to get transferred back to Killie, gloated about that fact in his return interview and he managed to piss off every single fan from both sides.

To be fair Kirk is not the brightest of humans

Kilmarnock director of football James Fowler says that the Rugby Park side will begin interviewing candidates for the vacant manager's role at the club next week.

He said: “I’ve sent a list [of candidates] to the Board and we’ve identified candidates we want to speak to.

"Hopefully by next week, we’ll be interviewing candidates to appoint a new manager.

“Ultimately we want to make an appointment as quickly as possible and appoint the right person.

“I think when the job was available last time we were looking for a particular fit in terms of someone who had experience in the league because of the situation we found ourselves in.

“I think this time we probably have a broader scope of what we might look for and that will show in the candidates we’ll talk to next week.”

It's a shame for Holt that he'll probably never get his dream gig of managing us as he's a thoroughly decent guy from what I know of him, just a shite manager.

I wouldn't be against him in a coaching role of some capacity but really glad it looks like this is all just coincidence

From what I’ve been told in the past (when Clarke left) Holt has been sounded out about our job but doesn’t want it due to the hassle living locally, kids going to school in the town etc.

That may have been a convenient excuse when he knew he wasn’t getting it or may have changed since then but that is what I was told.
