Absolutely agree. You are supposed to make a pretence of actually trying to complete a pass. With the league being so hell bent on turning every game into an aerial circus by making it easier and easier for QB's and WR's, and more difficult for DB's, offenses have been taking the piss for years with the 'lob it randomly down the field and demand a flag when the ball hits the turf 10 yards from the nearest receiver' thing. Infuriating how frequently it works and some moron zebra pulls a hanky for nothing more than incidental, or entirely two-way hands fighting, rather than laughing it off and telling the WR to f**k off back to the huddle.
