Sons vs Blue Toon

Last week's penalty was very clumsy from Boyle.

We're not really giving away penalties for bad tackles. It's typically for clumsy play. Pulling the jersey or failing to deal with first balls and having to make a clumsy tackle at the 2nd attempt. We need to improve defensively. We're not great going forward, but going into games expecting to concede can't be good for our strikers.

Clumsy is a great way to describe our defence this season.

Peterhead gifted two of the easiest goals they will ever get in their puff (is anyone surprised?). What the hell we were doing for the first goal is anyones guess, a row of what looked like about 8 of our players backing off their attackers, giving them all the time and space in the world to do whatever they want. Why the hell didn’t anyone pressure the ball? Bizarre. The second was another for the ever growing comedy collection of embarassing defending and conceding of penalties. I genuinely laughed out loud it was that bad.

Our 2 goals at the other end don’t even matter when we are cancelling them out like that. I’m starting to think our players are trolling us.

Game should have been postponed. There was no way that the fog was lifting.  I got back to Glasgow about 11:30 and went to Waitrose before going home to Balloch. The fog was never lifting. They could have called the game off around noon because it was always going to be a massive challenge actually playing to a finish. If it had been Clyde or Queens Park at Dumbarton rather than Peterhead then I reckon there would have been a decision about 2pm.

Also a shambles that Wilson has started two games since he won potm. Dropped for no reason. yet our most exciting player

Wilson has done hee haw for months unfortunately. I like him as a player but there is hardly a strong argument for him to start and we’ve looked more dangerous today without him.

Faz and Franko spent their entire careers playing in defence and we are quite literally an amateur shambles at the back. The conditions are the same for both teams and yet again it's us phoning it in whilst other teams do the bare minimum for the 3 points. Questions should now be asked.

Farrell has to go now. He's had the benefit of the doubt but things are stale. He had a decent budget and brought in decent players but the management team can't get a tune out of them. Disorganised at the back and gifting the opposition goals every game comes from coaching.

Game should’ve been called off but that’s no excuse for the players doing f**k all for the final 20 minutes.  Like last week we could have went in at Half Time with a decent one or two goal lead but we’re so rancid at the back we give away goals nonstop.

Obvious this ref was drafted in at the last minute too.  Didn’t have a clue how to control the game and missed fouls right under his nose.

I like Faz he comes across well and the team has flashes of brilliance but the defence is an absolute shambles. It’s not a case of if we make a mistake it’s a case of when.  No idea who we’d get in to replace him if he was to go but something needs to be done quickly - either from Faz or the board. Start by dropping Paton plz.

Another week, another shambolic defence performance and another defeat. There’s no point in dissecting the performance, we are dreadful. If Farrell wasn’t basically forced into having Joe McKee on set piece duty today the result would’ve been worse.

You talk a good game and seem like a decent guy Stevie but time to flare it.
