Comfortable home win.

If only   can't remember the last time Queens had a comfortable home win .

Ayr looked decent on Friday should really have won the game although he missed a few chances  Adeloye leads the line well and  Maxwell is  excellent as expected in midfield

We've not won at Palmerston since August 2002. AJ could play in nets for this and I'd still not be confident of anything better than a draw.

Should be the end of duffman if we get beaten here...even draw.

He wouldn't have been sacked after a loss on Friday, and he won't be sacked after this one. Matchday performance is simply not a current consideration for AUFC.

After Adeloye and Moffat worked reasonably well on Friday, expecting a Salkeld / Afolabi dream team to start this one.

I think Salkeld nearly touched the ball on Friday so that'll give Duffy Inspiration to give him a start on Saturday. One thing that will be a certainty is Bradley being on the bench.

In fairness it's not as if QOS have been Ayr's equals for most of that time; the last four years have been remarkably stable in that sense. Before that Queens had mostly been enjoying the same level of First Division mediocrity as ever (punctuated by an inexplicable experience in Europe) while Ayr continued to put the "seaside" in "seaside league". Then there was McCall who was just ideologically opposed to winning in Dumfries.

Still, comfortable home win. Normally this would be the point where I would suggest that Duffy would subsequently make excuses, but if Ayr even bother filming post-match interviews with him now then I haven't bothered watching them.
