I hope we put up a good fight to retain our cup, but the way we are playing will have many Saints fans going into this with major concern about a shock defeat. The hope is we look back at the early posts on this thread in a months time when we’ve signed 4-5 ballers in early January and laugh at any worries we had. It might not be as comfortable as you'd like, but at the very least I'd expect your players' superior fitness to become a major factor in the last 20 minutes or so. If you're struggling this will prove decisive and give you a narrow victory. Youth setup in place, investment, yes, but not like Chic’s slavering and drooling over the living the dream nonsense. Have a look at their squad. Few well known names. The players they have are not likely to become premier league players. Championship or division one perhaps at best.
