D Angelo Barksdale Posted December 20, 2021 Author Share Posted December 20, 2021 IF After promotion to 2.division last season, the aim this year was to consolidate and after a very shaky start we've managed to do so. Lost 6 of the 1st 7 and I thought we were doomed, but a tactical tweak helped and we put a solid run together. Winter break now with 4 games left before the split. Top 6 would be nice, but it makes little difference in regards to income. Spoiler Another upgrade to the academy coaching which may be the last for a while as our youth setup is now costing us around 13 grand a month. Only 2 players remain from the bottom division, the keeper 27, and Gaardlykke the CB who is 22. The rest are all 19 and under. If you're good enough you're old enough and we've made a brilliant start this year. Still no youth system and it might not even produce any Faroese. I've already turned down 3 interviews from full time Championship level clubs. Going to give it until end of next season. A shout out to EB for being totally fucking shite, although I did need a last minute winner against them. Another belter of an intake, 4 1st choice players and the same number again to strengthen the squad and Marjus Olsen who has been sent from the gods. I mean, just look at him, drink him in. Couldn't lay a glove on any of the bigger sides and embarrassingly lost at home to Latvia. The squad feels stale and needs to be gutted. D Angelo Barksdale Posted December 22, 2021 Author Share Posted December 22, 2021 MB My bold boys are getting better and better. 6 from last year's intake have made themselves 1st choices and we're running with a full team of U19's and competing in the top league. My actual U21 side made up of the guys won the U21 league last year which shows how good the youth system is here now. We've already surpassed our points total from last year. Might be a while before we can challenge KI though. The generation coming through aren't as good as the ones retiring atm. Might be a lean couple of years. We should stay in Division C, play off is against Estonia. They got their revenge by dumping us out the cup and pumping us in the league. We've established ourselves as comfortably the 2nd best team in the Faroes.
