Can see why they're going down tbh. Into the top division after 3 promotions in 5 seasons, but the grind don't stop even though we've made it to the top. Some effort from 3rd seeds Romania tbqfh, we couldn't take anything off them but managed a couple of draws against Croatia and Scotland. We've plateaued a bit, but weren't far behind 3rd place. D Angelo Barksdale Posted December 16, 2021 Author Share Posted December 16, 2021 IF Back in Denmark and we tried to strengthen the squad for a promotion push in our 2nd season at 3.division level. None of the 1st choice targets wanted to join, but we managed to get enough decent bodies in and I'm pretty happy with the overall depth now, we're not going to be significantly weakened by injury or suspension. Coming through the FC Kobenhavn youth system, Soren Svendsen is the pick of the bunch, lacking technically, but can pass the ball. He has excellent mental and physical stats for this level. Spoiler Results have been much better, apart from that sticky patch in October/November. 4 games till the split, with FC Roskilde threatening to run away with it. We're finding it really tough, took us 8 games to win one and we're sitting in the relegation places a 3rd of the way through the season. The only real positive is we're not getting hammered every week. Looking like a 3 way battle at the bottom. Georgia gave us problems last time and Romania pumped us on their way to an unbeaten WCQ campaign. Through to the 2 legged Faroese Cup semis where we'll play the only team we've beaten this season Skala. Just hoping we can pick up a couple of draws and beat both Skala and IF in the last round of games which should be enough. Struggling to get results elsewhere though, which doesn't bode well. The young lads have a year under their belt though.
