Livingston V Hearts 5/12 match thread

Recommended Posts

Have to be a hell of a lot better than we were at Tynecastle anyway, our worst performance this season, or in the last 5, had no goal threat at all and looked bereft of any fight. Normally think we have a decent chance of getting something at home, but after the Aberdeen game my confidence is low going into this, going in expecting us to lose, and hoping the players show up and surprise us all.

Our away form since winning at Tannadice in August: DDDLLL.

Needless to say, that needs to prove if we want to finish 3rd.

It'll be interesting to see if we stick with 4 at the back or revert back to the 3.  Livi really struggled with our ability to stretch the game in the 3-4-3 at Tynecastle, but it seems to have been found out a bit and Thursday showed 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 is an option for us.

Much better from us. The difference a more positive system can make.

Been the better team by quite a distance so far, just hope we can keep it up. Main worry is we seemed to be tiring towards the end of that half.

I love watching Gordon make the saves he does, just wish he'd have packed it in for today.

Just now, EdinburghLivi said:

Played in a midfield three a few times, he has some amount of energy. Running around like a mad man.

He's played further forward before, but it seems this change of shape to be more 4-3-3 is working for him.

Seen the best and worst of Omeonga today as well. That tackle was outstanding, but he's given the ball away cheaply too many times.
