Scottish Cup 4th Round 21/22 - who're you wanting?

A wee team at home to dole out another thrashing. Worst nightmare is Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen in Alloa.

Our streaming will handle 14,000 people - our website on the other hand is the limiting factor. The exact load where our website will break? Submarine captain time.

Don't see why ties should move for "big paydays" or whatever.

Licensed grounds are enclosed with registered capacities/safety certificates/etc.

Eventually got silly e.g. Albion Rovers.

Nah, they should be moved. Ultimately it reduces the advantage for the home side, as the game's effectively played at a neutral venue, and if both sides agree to it then why not? Albion Rovers moved their game to a venue that accommodated 10,000 fans, the alternative was that over 8,000 of them would be denied the chance to watch their sides play.

Nah,not moving maintains the uniqueness of the cup- the regular fans of the wee team should be OK for a ticket, some away fans may lose out- tough, luck of the draw.If the wee team grows they should grow their facilities & capacity too.

Maybe teams like Albion didn't do that for years, spending on players probably. Its a balancing act.

They then should do away with clubs spending fortunes getting licensed and let everybody in - they can rent parks if ever required - and do way with home/away draw and let the clubs decide.

There is no point Club A pouring money into ground upgrades if Club B can move a tie somewhere else, rake in far more money, and perhaps spend it on players too rather than groundworks.

Clubs should nominate a home venue before the draw is made.

Auchinleck for example would maybe want to move a home tie against Celtic to Rugby Park in front of a stadium full of Celtic fans, on a reasonable artificial surface and a comfortable environment for Celtic to play in. But if they draw Ayr they’ll play them in a small, hostile ground on a potentially dreadful pitch. That isn’t fair.

Nominate a ground before the draw and if you end up with Bank’s O’ Dee v Brechin at Pittodtie it’ll soon teach them.

no way clubs should be allowed to change grounds ❌

Tend to agree. As soon as the small team moves the game - to the likes of Airdrie’s ground - they have as good as thrown in the towel. They’ve given up home advantage for the money. Shouldn’t be allowed.

Wee clubs need the money. Albion Rovers have average gates of around 400, so the revenue generated by 5,000 fans literally generates the equivalent of 12 home fixtures. Surely you appreciate that it's a pay day and helps them survive. Why such a spiteful attitude? We're talking about games against the Old Firm & possibly Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen.

Obviously clubs should still be expected to maintain their stadiums.

They haven't 'thrown in the towel', but aye they have given up home advantage. It's still potentially one of the biggest games of the players' career and I'm sure they'd be as motivated to win as they could ever be.

This is why small clubs hope for an away game against the biggest teams.

Seemingly if we got a replay against Hearts in 2012 it might have been at Rugby Park
