Chinatoon Bairn
Yet to see a calm person about this match. Either confident we'll horse them or filled with the fear that we're going to get humped. Finish up in an hour so the buzz fair setting in now. Already booked up to Wales.

There's also the prospect that Ukraine are gonna go full pelt at kick-off and we'll just need to weather a bit of a storm, hopefully with Gilmour and McGregor calming things down when they get the chance. I can see the first 20 mins or so being pretty dodgy and fans getting annoyed, but hopefully we're able to take the sting out of that and take control. I'm banking on them being far too emotionally invested that they lose a bit of focus on the basics. Hoping also that their recent friendly successes were helped, at least in part, by nobody really wanting to beat them and that had given them a false impression of their abilities. Whatever happens we cannot let them get ahead.
ScottishZizou
I predict this will be the team: Gordon Mctominay Hanley McKenna SOD Robertson Gilmour Mcgregor Mcginn Christie Adams think there’s absolutely zero chance that we change formation. I would be tempted not to play O’Donnell, he has never let us down defensively but he is very limited on the ball, looks like he’s been passed a live grenade when he gets it. Would also see justification for Hendry/Souttar and pushing Mctominay into midfield two but would be happy with either. Hope we don’t start Dykes and Adams Edited June 1 by ScottishZizou
TheScarf
They looked horseshit at the Euros last year and England shat on them in first gear in Rome. 2-0 Ukraine.
Jambomo
I can see him starting O’Donnell but wouldn’t be surprised to see Hickey come on at right back at some point in the second half.
Bairnardo
Its questionable whether this Scotland team should be getting beat at home off any team who have to contend with the circumstances Ukraine have had to. Thats before you take into account that against England as mentioned above, they were an absolute gang who had zero to offer. I am beginning to shite myself cos its us, but we should have way too much for them tonight.

cyderspaceman
My Nephe.w in Canada reckons the fans should burn an effigy of Putin before the game. I explained that the TA is now civilised (-ish) and Hampden is all seated so would be difficult. I'm sure we'd have been up for it 40 or so years ago. 'mon Scotland, I'll be watching on L'Equipe channel Edited June 1 by cyderspaceman

I'd say it's pretty likely he'll start but there's still a chance Dykes will play with Adams. Is it not possible to have both Christie and Dykes? Gordon SOD McTominay Hanley Robbo Gilmour McGregor Christie McGinn Adams Dykes Well attacking line up but its a home match. It's the natural order of things because Wales is a smaller country that isn't interested in football, there's nothing racialised about it. Bar a few exception years, on the whole Scotland will have a better football team and Wales a better rugby team. Just as it has always been. Try going to Cardiff on Sunday spouting that nonsense. Of course they're interested in football and, sadly, as of this moment, better than us at it. Whatever your historical musings might tell you that was in the past.

Melanius Mullarkay
Bit of a minter if Scotland lose to a team that have been playing against posties and plumbers for the past few months tbh.

Im not saying they aren't interested in football, just not as interested as Scotland (very few countries are, England and Brazil aren't even close in terms of proportional attendances). Everything is in the past surely.... I think the Scotland team is better than Wales, and hope we can prove it soon. Our squad is certainly stronger than their has beens and never beens.

Touched a nerve there. Anyway, saw a lad in Portobello enjoying the sun in his shorts, draped in a Scotland flag and enjoying a Becks. A good 9 hours before kick off. If that had been me I’d be asleep by 5pm and be checking my phone at at 2am to find out how we lost.
