Fratelli
Have been a few occasions where we've had the chance to play and then just passed it back for it to be launched, so our lack of football almost seems intentional. Midfield is our strongest position, so bypassing it doesn't do us many favours.
JagsCG
If it wasn’t for Gordon this game would be done already. Massive changes needed in the 2nd half to get back in it. Ukraine have looked better than us in ever aspect.

Too used to playing with central defenders that are quick enough and smart enough to push up. Hanley moves like a fucking broken tractor.

Agreed - it just isn't working. Having 3 back there isn't getting us any additional defence confidence because Cooper/Hanley are only doing half a job each, and then we are being cost a player somewhere else. That said, not clear someone coming on would be better (McKenna for Cooper?) and going to 4 might be risky
Theroadlesstravelled
Our attacking options on the bench are really shite. Lose a 2nd goal and it's over.

I'm not sure that's the only reason. If you don't have two good centre halves then play three of them is an adage as old as time. Our centre back options are so bad we play a left back and a midfielder in the three if both are available. Bring Back Paddy Flannery
An absolutely rotten first half from us. The system is a huge issue, we are being completely overrun in midfield. I had concerns about Hickey pre match and he’s done absolutely hee haw to convince me so far. It’s not really his fault but it’s clear as day that he’s all over the place positionally and for all the chat about how two footed he is he looks seriously uncomfortable using his right foot. Clarke has to change it at half or we’re completely fucked. We need to get Gilmour and McGregor on the ball.
BigSash
Robertson's been our best player by miles. Yarmolenko was between 2 centre halves. You are kidding, right?
Todd_is_God
But aye the long ball isn't working. Dykes is winning them but it isn't going to a blue jersey. We need to get the ball on the ground and try something different. Play like we played in Serbia. Like we did against England. Like we can. The only positive is that goal came before half time. It was glaringly obvious that the ball was going to come over the top, they need to know as a unit, either to step forward or pull back deep.
Empty It
Is it just me that's completely perplexed as to why Grant Hanley still gets a game for Scotland?

Bring Back Paddy Flannery
4 minutes ago, Joe Terrapin said: Hickey having the type of game Patterson had in the first half against Israel. Clarke resisted hooking him and he had a good second half. Hoping this happens here. The difference being that Patterson was playing on his natural side in a very similar position to what he plays naturally. Hickey is never a right wing back.
