Wee hike to get the blood moving again after the game. Its going to be the first time in a long time since we had a match thats going to be baltic, the wind is going to rip round the back of that main stand. I'm going Michelin Man style.

VinnyPar
Game could be a lottery tonight. Is the wind as bad through in the west? Edited November 26, 2021 by VinnyPar

Cold but, so I'd leave the top hard in the charabanc.

Wind isn't forecast to be as bad in Maryhill tonight as other places in Scotland. Just a yellow warning rather than an amber one. Still likely to be fairly blowy though
Stoo61
Does that mean Fon Williams will have more or less chance of stopping shots right at him? One of life's eternal conundrums.

JagsCG
We’re in good form and Pars have picked up form with a good manager at the helm now, so it should make for a good match. However, totally not-confident for this at all. Please no replay though.
Fuctifano
Think Dunfermline are value on the betting, they've already won and drew at Firhill under Grant this season. I'd say we're favourites but not by anywhere near as much as the bookies have us.
Fuctifano
No Mayo or Graham for Thistle, Foster still out too. Stephen Hendrie gets only his second game since signing and a couple of weans on the bench.

As to why this game isn’t on the Saturday, Thistle get the option of the first game when both ourselves and QP are at home on the same weekend. And Killie have a Challenge Cup game on the following Tuesday, which means they can’t play on Sunday and the only real way of doing it is this game on Friday and QP v Killie on Saturday.

The support in the Jackie Husband stand tonight is an embarrassment. Looks to be less than half the amount who were there for the Accies game last week.

Don’t disagree but a fairly un-interesting cup tie against a team we’ve played 3 times already in the last few months, on a Friday night - therefore low crowd doesn’t really surprise me.
DA Baracus
Pictures quality keeps dropping for me. Irritating. Anyway, I thought only teams we played against could utilise a wind based advantage? I thought we were unable to use the wind to our benefit? Certainly this was what I was led to believe by a former manager and a multitude of players.
