Funky Nosejob
There are songs that lift you to the heights of euphoria. There are others that tell tales of salvation from a seemingly hopeless starting point. Then there are those that simply take you to the most dismal place and abandon you there. Songs that are the antithesis of “Walking on Sunshine”. Here’s a couple to get started with… Clarence Carter - Patches Born into poverty, father dies, shoulders responsibility for family farm, crop failures, lingering feelings of lost childhood, mother dies. Gilbert O’Sullivan - Alone Again (Naturally) Jilted, suicidal thoughts, crisis of faith, loneliness, father dies, mother dies, solitude. What songs would other P&B posters have on their downbeat playlist? Edited November 11, 2021 by Funky Nosejob
