St Johnstone vs St Mirren 06.11.21

Recommended Posts

A booked Power catches someone late from behind, gives away a free kick then fires abuse at the ref.

No card.

Kane gives away no fouls. Throws his arms about at a decision.

Red.

Brilliant stuff.

Middleton played about 10 minutes in the last game and created about 4 chances simply by breaching the gap between Tanser and the LCB, so I'd hope that's an approach we remember. The boy can't communicate. He'd probably be fine against MOH because he's the most predictable winger going.

Kane v Shaughnessy probably more key. Shaughnessys always liable to do something stupid when in a physical battle.

FT 0-0
Bah, would have taken that before kick off, but a bit disappointed after watching the match panned out. Wasn’t much in the game really, but if anyone deserved to win it, it was us. That’s two 0-0 draws between the sides this season now. Both similar in their brutal dullness really.
Can see why the Saintees are the lowest scoring team in the league, just eight goals in 13 games. That’s a remarkably low return, but they’re such a negative side, even at home. Got to feel for their fans watching that agricultural style every week. It’s a good point for them.
For us in a game like that, we are just looking for a McGrath or Ronan to step up and find that moment of magic to break them down and get the goal. Both had flashes but just lacked the killer touch when it mattered.
Positive is our decent away form continues, five unbeaten on the road now. The international break has come at a good time. Plenty of important players either carrying an injury or injured that should be fully fit for our next game at home to Livi.

It would be - if that’s what happened.

Rooneys one man trolling ot St Mirren the only highlight of that match. 50+ of them being restrained by one steward my favourite.

Rooney on Alnwick nowhere close to McCarthy snapping him from behind at knee height just minutes before on a counter attack (SHOCK it was only a booking), but I guess St Mirren fans will just ignore that.

Today probably a nice example to St Mirren fans why they constantly miss out on the top 6.

No decent side let's us escape with a point from that performance.
