St Johnstone vs St Mirren 06.11.21

I wonder whether Jamie McCart will receive the same amount of criticism that Efe Ambrose would have received if he’d put in a similar performance.

He’s been needing a wake up call since the Livingston game. I’d get him dropped.

Let's be honest, it's true.

Your effectively chasing Motherwell and United for the final spot, and both are 6pts ahead of you. Motherwell won 2-0 at Pittodrie today while you slumbered to a 0-0 against one of the worst top flight performances you'll likely see this season.

If it comes down to a matter of points again then I suspect you'll be looking back at today as a major missed opportunity. We were absolutely there for the taking.

2 terrible teams playing in terrible conditions, not surprisingly it was eye bleedingly shite. Ali Crawford with possibly the worst St Johnstone midfield performance since cup winning legend Gary Macdonald pulled on the strip, some effort that because it includes Wotherspoons LASK effort as well.

Let's just be happy with a point each and move on.

We all know McCart is leaving in January. Our biggest problem was the absolute clownshoe Summer window we had where nobody at the club done a fucking thing until the HOR was appointed. We literally have nobody we can drop him for.

Can't believe we didn't win that. Only team trying to play football but just couldn't quite put the final pass together despite playing some great stuff up until that key killer ball.

Relentless but just couldn't find a breakthrough. One of those days.

One terrible team, one unlucky team.

If only your team tried that hard.

Utter pish. Serious questions about persisting with this system now given the personnel no longer seem to fit it - though when so many players have shockers it’s maybe hard to judge the system too much. It relied last year on things like the LBC and/or RCB stepping forward with the ball to create an overload - but Muller can’t do that like Kerr did and McCart has fallen off a cliff. That was a dreadful individual performance from him - though he wasn’t alone in having a total shocker.

We didn’t look like we had a clue how to get the ball near St Mirren’s goal. May and Wotherspoon showed a bit of ability when they came on but it didn’t result in any real opportunities. St Mirren were clearly the better side - but from their perspective it will be a worry that playing against a team playing so poorly, and against defenders having an utter nightmare, they didn’t really create a clear cut chance.

Greg Aitken is a fucking awful referee btw. Inconsistent in the extreme.

He looks completely bereft of confidence in front of goal.

He looks as if he could play all day and not score.

Aye you are right.

He does everything else really well, he is an absolute pest to play against. Puts himself about, doesn't get anywhere near the amount of fouls on him that most other strikers do.

I wonder if a couple of goals would change him. Its really hard not to like guy, he got a great reception when he came off the park.
