Ayr v. Inverness. The formality before 3 points head to the highlands

Recommended Posts

Inverness look like they have fucked their league challenge and Ayr didn't pick up enough points before Hamilton improved and Dunfermline sacked Grant before they could be comfy in the Championship.

Inverness have had a bit of a wobble recently and Ayr have returned to pre-Duffy form.

If Duffy plays the way we ended the Kilmarnock game and started the Raith game, I can see fans starting to turn on him soon. we can play good football but chose not to and it is costing us points.

If Ayr play on the front foot, we might get something other than a routine Inverness victory.

Duffy has to grow a set and start the game on the front footy with an attacking set up, i'd go:

                     McAdams

   Muirhead Baird Fjortoft Reading

O'Connor Murdoch McAllister Maxwell

           Adeloye Moffat/McKenzie

I'd have Bradley in there....somewhere

That’s the team to give us a chance McAllister starting with Houston on the bench for me

A 2 man midfield of Murdoch and Chalmers?  We’ve tried that before (most of last season) and it didn’t work.

With Muirhead out we don’t really have any other option, Maxwell is in there too and can drop a bit deeper if required.

That’s a blow

How long are they each going to out for, do we know?

I think Afolabi has done enough recently to deserve a chance, particularly where we need someone to hold up the ball. Never thought I would be saying that based on how he looked a month ago.

Even though we didn't win against Partick at the weekend it was a much improved performance so hopefully we see more of the same on Saturday starting with the same formation and, mostly, the same lineup save for any further dramas from The Only Way is Eastgate.

Ridgers
Duffy Broadfoot Devine Deas
Welsh Allardice
Walsh Doran (or MacGregor) Gardyne
Mckay

Are up in the stand for this one? We normally have the option to go into the stand or stand pitchside in front of it but I've seen some twitter chat that we won't have the option of the latter on Saturday.
