Annan Vs Cowdenbeath

Recommended Posts

Back to league action today and three points is a must to keep in touch at the top.

Hopefully cut out some of the disastrous mistakes at the back which seem almost our trademark this season.

Will predict that rarest of things, a home win at Galabank! 1-0 will do me.

Expecting it to be busy round Galabank with people wanting to see where the Blue Bridge has gone now that the rain has stopped.

All these years of going and I didn't know there was a bridge at the back of Galabank.

Might be a bad time to be playing Cowden. Off the back of a defeat to Strollers and with the manager gone they'll likely raise their game.

Effort was there but to b honest we never had any ooomph until we went a goal behind. The players are lacking in belief and confidence big time

Improved a bit with the subs who actually had a bit of time to do something.

New manager needs to get the midfield sorted.

New manager needs to get the whole team sorted. Can't covert chances, can't keep a clean sheet, can't get a win etc etc

League Table doesn't lie.

If it was me I would be calling Dick Campbell for  an opinion/advice on a good coach that can get us out of this mess whether that be someone with experience we can afford or a well know up and coming coaches with high potential probably best though for experience given our league position and cut adrift and could be cut adrift further

So much for fresh ideas. Started with the same team as last week. First half was brutal from both sides. After we went behind Hutton came on for Bobby Barr and we suddenly sprung to life.. we were better side for the rest of the game but couldn't find a way through. Swinglehurst won every high ball, a rock for them.If Todd is fit wouldn't mind seeing O'Connor in midfield, think it might solve some of our problems

McGurn manager for now? He was a bit out of his depth as a temp at Raith, but much more experience managing in general now.

And by this comment I assume Mahady and Coulson looked to offer something?

The defensive problems and lack of chances stem from the midfield IMO.

Big Swinglehurst will lap up high balls all day really need a fast forward on him he’s not so clever with his feet.

The subs coming on made a difference at least McGurn seen the starting XI wasn’t working.

No idea mate don’t even know if Davie would be interested in a managers job.

That was a grim watch yesterday , for both sets of fans.

Annan were pretty much toothless in attack although played some neat passing football down the flanks then running out of steam. Thought Moxon was MOM and everything was coming through him. After we scored we sat back and invited Cowden to attack and they were probably worth a draw so a good three points in the end.

Best for Cowden was their No9 but lacked service. The No5 definitely in need of anger management therapy!

Final point - attendance of 187. Abysmal. Can only hope for a better turn out next week.

Tried to watch on ppv. That was grim too. Never saw the goal, camera pointing somewhere else.

The commentary was comedy gold - again!

What the hell has happened to Annan’s support a crowd of 187 (with around 15 Cowden fans).

Your 4th in the league so how’s the drop happened.

It wasn’t if you were competing with much locally - Queens away, Carlisle away and only Gretna at home to VOL.

I believe this was the lowest attendance for Annan since joining the League.
I don’t know why we can’t attract more supporters to Galabank.
We’ve got the strongest squad we’ve had for a long time and should at least make the playoffs.
