It's Farage country, and despite being the most ethnically white of all English counties, it's also one of the most highly xenophobic/racist/anti-immigration. I'd like to revise my prediction to Gillingham. It's a notorious cesspit of a place. I concur. I'm fortunate enough to have travelled a fair bit, and while I'd say that that absolute most weird looking and deformed people I've seen outside of Ibrox are undoubtedly poor Americans, I would concur that on a general level, your common or garden Scot/Brit is an order of magnitude worse looking than similar peer groups elsewhere. There's a whole fucking load of us who would really benefit from getting a bit of vitamin D, a scale and polish, and spending a bit more on clothes from somewhere other than Sports Direct or JD Sports. Despite? Surely that's the biggest reason why.
Bairnardo
Nigel Farage convincing working class bigots that he is just like one of them, and that other people (not him) are the big bad "elites" is up there with the greatest tricks ever pulled. The 'despite' part is a reference to the fact that of all the excuses usually churned out by English 'man in the street' types to justify xenophobia, folk in Kent are the least able to provide any of them as a defence. It is still the most 'English' place of all, so they really have no grounds for complaining about the usual shite like 'erosion of way of life/language' and so on. Chatham's the town that everyone looks down on, but they all think Essex is where the proper scum live. Bizarre living there when the Channel Tunnel was being worked on. So many furious proto-gammons convinced that the French would walk down the tunnel and invade. People hanging bedsheets at the bottom of their gardens with xenophobic slogans painted on. Proper brain donor stuff.

Have an image in my head of loads of moustachioed, hooped jersey and beret, string of onions round the neck types emerging from a hole in the ground in Kent and giving it an 'Allo Allo' style "haw-hee-haw-hee-haw, wat ees all zees zen?" before being run off by a swathe of fat baldy beerbelly brexiteers in union jack shorts, flip-flops, and knotted hankies on their heads. So a bit like the pre-match any time an English team gets drawn away in France.

He quickly figured out that right wing voters are generally pretty stupid people and fairly easy to grift. You only need to look at the sheer amount of money that a thick football hooligan like Yaxley-Lennon has made from these losers to see how easy it is. Trump and Johnson also became masters of this shit (or their strategists did). Give folk simple three word phrases which are easy to repeat, say nothing in particular but sound good. "BUILD, BACK, BETTER" is completely vacuous shite for example, but it keeps the racist thickos that vote Tory engaged.

DA Baracus
What a massive, continuous minter it is that the UK is in thrall to stinking racist scum who the Conservatives and Labour cherish so much. Those two parties are doing and saying any old shit to get those fucking vermin on side. They're terrified of rotten scumbag racists. Pathetic. ICTChris
Job advert for the Head of Cyber Security at the Treasury has a salary band of £50-57.5k. https://thestack.technology/hm-treasury-head-of-cyber-security/ Not quite as mintery as a potato crown but that is a very poor salary for the role.
