Bairns v Diamonds.

Really don't know what to expect from us. If it's one up front again and same personnel and formation as against East Fife then Airdrie could be out of sight by half time. If by some miracle the penny has dropped with Sheerin and we actually go with two up top, and set out to actually win a game instead of trying to bore the opposition into defeat we might have a chance. I think he'll revert to type though and Airdrie will be a couple up before we actually do anything. Away win 1-2

It concerns me that he'll view Airdrie as one of the better teams in the league and so revert to the one up top shite. If we start with Keena partnering Ruth then I think we'll win.

From an Airdrie perspective Murray will setup defensively,  but with an abundance of creativity in mid to front areas,  expect to have plenty of the ball,  can you break us down and stop the counter attacks through Easton and Frizzell...

Should be a decent game, don't think there will be many goals going for 1 all draw..... And prior to the game I think both teams would take it if offerred.

At the moment I am also expecting a close game and a 1-1 draw. We are short on chance conversions and are quite strong defensively. Ian Murray will always shape up for counter attacks depending on who is available. The earlier game showed that Falkirk could do the same so I will then be surprised on Saturday when it's end to end entertainment.

This “worry yourself sick about the opposition” first took hold under Elvis. I heard one of his tactical talks at Stirling Uni, and it was all about the opposition threat and how to try to nullify it, with absolutely zero discussion on how we were going to win the game.

It’s pretty clear that Sheerin has bought into the same Largs guff. Sadly, it’s hard to see him putting Ruth and Keena up front as he views it as a betrayal of how he thinks the game should be played. If coaching youth, he still wouldn’t bring on a second striker, and would take a defeat rather than give up on his system.

The only upside is that he knows he can’t do that with the first team, but he only changes in order to try to rescue a situation.

In the short spells of two up front, we have scored four times and conceded none. If that fact alone doesn’t convince the guy, then all that is left is the jeopardy of losing his job.

I think we will win this game 2-1, but it won’t be pretty.

Please tell me you are going to the Q&A? Pretty please?

I intend being there. These things for me tend to be more about watching the top table’s reaction to questions more than anything else. For them and the things they are doing, this is not about engaging with the support, it’s about throwing up enough of a smokescreen to get through it.

There will be plenty of people asking awkward questions. I think just about everyone knows our mob lie without batting an eyelid (I suppose they will go for calling it “spin”), but it’s nothing more than good old fashioned lying.

I fully expect to hear lots of lies on the 19th……I think just about everyone does.

These games have been quite entertaining and tight in recent years. I expect this one to be no different. Falkirk are clearly going through a bit of a turbulent time, but are always going to be a threat and have the ability to win games. Airdrie have the best footballing team they've had for years, yet I'm still not convinced that we have stopped shooting ourselves in the foot. I genuinely believe we will hammer a team soon. Id love it to be Falkirk tomorrow but can't see it. We need to start turning our good football into more chances and more goals. It's that simple. And it needs to be consistent too. Hoping we are near full strength tomorrow, which gives Murray the good headache of who to start, but we should see our strongest bench in a while now that he worst of Covid and injuries seem to be behind us.

I'm going for a 2-2 draw.

Surley to f**k he will start with Ruth and Keena, the 352 worked well 2nd half v EF, this is how we should be starting tomorrow. I have been pretty sympathetic towards Sheerin up to now but if he reverts to type tomorrow he has only himself to blame for the criticism that will come is way.

I would have expected you to be front and centre with the questions mate. Perfect opportunity surely?

Don't hold your breath.

I think he'll see a few fans turning against him if he doesn't start with 2 up, especially if we lose.
