Don't think you can really have much respect for a club who voluntarily both changed their name from the rather majestic Dunnde Hibernian and changed their colours from green and white to *checks notes* Day-Glo orange ?

Nah we switched to white first. Green White Orange. No wonder the **** hate us.

It's funny to think that Hibs are only a point ahead of United in the league, given all we hear is how great they have been this season. Shows we've been doing something right, anyway.

It's not really that funny though, is it?

What's genuinely funny is that, since 16th April 2016, every time you've closed your eyes to go to sleep, or to try try and shut out the image of your wife as you make love to her, all you've been able to see are these...

Dundee Utd are a decent team, kudos to Courts for this I think.

Your issues are going to be scoring goals this season, and that - unfortunately - will catch up with you sooner or later.

You beating us that day led to a greater good. It was a defeat worth taking.

To be fair, they had a length spell of about 50 years in-between where their colours were predominantly white. Dundee United's kit designers have been painting a Republic of Ireland tricolour through time.

A greenie for talking about football, a rarity on this thread so far.

We have signed an out of contract striker and I’m hoping Courts can get as much out of him as he has with other players this season.

Agreed. The Undead would have beaten us in that final no doubt. It would have been horrendous. And there’d have been no four armed juvenile delinquents on the Hampden pitch punching out corpulent Sevconians. God bless the rolly polly goalie.

Yeah, our lack of a decent striker is pretty glaring. Max Biamou could be a decent player for us, but his record suggests he isn't prolific.

Sarto once again staging a mutiny against the concept of having interesting or original opinions to post.

The rest of the United contingent shadowboxing against things that haven’t happened yet.

In the Flame Gang days, the EH7 boeys used to have to work hard for their bites.

Nowadays, Tayside diddies pop up in clusters and work themselves into a seethe about hypothetical outcomes.

I reckon it has to be more of the same from us.  McMann and Freeman might have less opportunity to go forward given Hibs goal threats but we have only conceded five in the league in eight games so can hopefully continue with our good defensive record.

Fuchs will be key in this game imo and will hopefully be the guy that can help protect the back line whilst opening up attacking opportunities.

It has to be the same team/formation as against County though the bench still looks weak.  Hopefully this is the game that Nicky Clark rediscovers his scoring touch.

You’re welcome…
