They might as well just cancel it. According to this site it's just a big hoax.

Incidentally, yesterday I gave a lecture on sustainability. Standing in a classroom with the heating on and the windows open.

I remember staying in a lodge at Loch Lomond many years ago where you had to pay for the electricity used via a prepayment meter. Speaking to the site manager she said the electricity used to be included in the rental price, but too many people we keeping the heating up full, and when it was too hot just opening the windows rather than turning down the heating.

They're building student accomodation at the old MacDonalds furniture store at the bottom of Cathedral Street in Glasgow. Apparently its not finished yet but students have already moved in. They're being charged £10,000 a year and are living in a building site. You can see work still going on. Also apparently there's a lot of students homeless at the moment as they've been kicked out of their flats so their landlords can make a fortune from COP26. Not saying there is any link here of course.

You've got to question if all the people attending really need to be there. I was reading that Obama is attending. Why?

Just more needless air travel to attend a conference calling for a reduction in air travel (among other things)

He's making up for the Pope skiving off.

I was a refuse collector for 7 years. Enjoyed it for the most part.

Hope they get a well deserved pay rise.

Chris Mitchell seems like an arsehole though, but at least he's fighting on behalf of his members.

That Sturgeon will no doubt get the blame anyway, whether or not they sort out the local rail and binmen disputes. One might almost think Johnson's private office planned it to be a clusterfuck.

Had a play on booking.com and a room at the Smiths Hotel in Sauchiehall Street that they charge £67 for in January costs £1896 on November 1st.

Hopefully breakfast included

Going to be a fuckin nightmare for anyone working in or near the city centre.

So many road closures planned. Train staff threatening to go on strike, funnily enough getting into work won't be any trouble if you start early enough but getting home could potentially take hours, not that employers care as long as they get the full shift out of you.

How much do the GMB pay to the labour party every year?

About £2m but they are talking of withdrawing it. Probably just sabre rattling but they did withdraw it in London recently. They possibly want something in return for the money. They see the Tory party donors getting rich on the back of their donations.
