You escaped the cull then?

Have you anything sensible to say about my post or will you do your usual and make it all about me?

The post was simply calling people “too stupid” and recording grievance. I hesitate to engage too deeply and in fact had to cut out the abusive part at the end of it.

I find it bizarre how the unionists supporting media are raging that Nicola Sturgeon is a away for a couple of days to try to build closer working ties with another European country and the government those unionists  support in Westminster has done next to nothing to help anyone for three months while they have no leadership, no leadership at all, yes three months while the infrastructure of the UK is falling apart and the financial situation is heading in the direction of a man made disaster and the outgoing PM takes a nice wee holiday in Greece with a full thumbs up.

Is there not some hypocrisy there?

Yes - but is it surprising?

If you ruled out hypocrisy they wouldn't have much less to go on. Tbf to them try to argue that any country would be worse off than the current state of the Westminster requires a neck like C3P0. Also a bizarre way for them to spend their Saturday night but each to their own.

The only problem is that the NatWits in Holyrood who hired the vessel expected you could plug a 40,000 ton vessel into the mains like you would a camper van:

You can, it’s extremely common and in many places, compulsory.

Let me explain this to to you Father Dougal.

The people responsible for the bins are the City of Edinburgh Council. The ruling group is led by the Labour Party who are in a coalition of the damned with the Tories and LibDems all so that the big bad SNP don't get to run the city.

Do you understand now?

Ok, I'll have a go.

As I understand it the collection of waster from Bute House is part of a large commercial contract covering a large number of government buildings. It is not seen as domestic refuse collection which is a Council responsibility. It makes no more sense to complain about the Bute House arrangements than it would for you to complain about all the other non-domestic waste collection contracts that are in place for businesses all over the country. If the FM's home address is in an area where strikes are underway, it'll be in just as much of a state as anywhere else.

Why try and reason with them? It's fairly obvious that commercial uplifts aren't affected, because CEC don't do them.

I suppose it's because facts are like Kryptonite to folk like spongeheid15.  Reason doesn't really come into their 'positions'.  If a daft assertion can be demolished with a simple fact or two, I'll have a go, but I won't make a habit of it. Plenty of room on the ignore list.

One seldom meets an honest Natter.  They hide behind the 'we want the government we voted for' or 'The UK isn't a country' pish when we all know that the only reason that they want an international border is because they hate the basturt English.

Step to the plate Brian Cox from New York and Primrose Hill who tells it as it is:

He is right, of course.  Partition isn't about Westminster or Tories or Brexit or Thatcher or Poll Tax or whatever excuse the daft wee gonks come up with next.

Partition is all about ethnicity - as Cox said in his interview.

I see that Oor Brian has confirmed my assertion of what's really driving Partition with another Blut Und Boden outburst.  It would be easy to dismiss this as the sentimental ramblings of a British exile except for the uncomfortable truth:  The person who enabled this was none other than the leader of Scotland's regional administration.

Chilling to see the dark path that Nationalism is going down in Scotland and to see that this comes from the very top.

Are you seriously suggesting that Scotland is aping the UK’s path of dark and dangerous ultra-nationalism, led from the top? And if this is bad, why do you continue to support the UK and why vote for the party which drove this extreme nationalism?

Brian Cox’s speech was incredibly stupid, nationalism is such a dangerous and negative thing. I think Brian was getting confused with social democratic and national socialism.
the SNP fans try and take the moral high ground a lot but saying country first, politics second is the sort of radical nationalist nonsense you’d hear from any extremist in the past.
