St Mirren v Aberdeen

Aberdeen probably picked the worst possible season to hire a rookie/try and implement the risky build up from the back style.

There's no weak sides in the division so teams who are consistently performing well but losing will find themselves in a worse position than they'd usually get.

Can you explain that a wee bit more?

St Mirren probably picked the worst possible season to spunk a fortune on mid-table players.

There's no weak sides in the division this season, so team who perform well but can't win will find themselves lower down the table than they usually would be.

There's generally one, or two, dross sides in this division who you can tell are already headed down. So teams who are performing well will get their points there and have wee mini-runs.

This season I think almost every match is going to be a tight affair so it'll be a struggle for sides to get any momentum, whereas in the past you'd maybe get a run of 2/3 easier games.
