Aberdeen v St Johnstone 18/9/21

Recommended Posts

Thought Saints were pretty comfortable in the second half and defended well. Efe had an awful first five minutes then settled down and strolled 2nd half, Brown is also much better centrally, he is a decent player and will be useful this season.

We improved when Crawford came on as I thought both our wingers were very poor. Still didn’t keep the ball nearly well enough, especially out of defence, far too panicky.

Delighted for May and can only hope he goes on a run from here, expect him to start on Wed.

Aberdeen just woeful, Samuels obviously not great but Ramirez was even worse - constantly falling over and no real threat.

That was a goalless draw if ever there was one. All you were worried about was a mistake. It kind of happened with the sliced clearance but May still had a lot to do.

We still lack a bit in attack but defensively remain sound. Happy to push/let Aberdeen go wide then deal with it when it comes into the box. Really encouraging that different players can come into the back three and they still look a unit.

Aberdeen have a lot of good players, so it'll be interesting to see if Glass can get them going.

That was as bad as anything we saw last season as an attacking threat. No question.

6 games in a row without scoring is the worst in the our history and 1 goal in 10. Majority of these games was up there with today game.

Yeah I would predict a 1-0 st Johnstone from us making an error in our own half on the ball.

You should be burned at a witch.

Sorry.

Edit distinct lack of my fellow fans on here to take the deserved ridicule from the fans of 'double winning' St Johnstone.

No apology necessary. But I thought it was fairly obvious how today would play out after about half an hour.

Ultimate insult when an absolute dud of a forward comes on with fuckin pink boots on and sclaffs a trundler in from 20 odd yards.

Thought Bates was ok before taking a knock and Ramsay showed his usual ability on the ball, Mckenzie had some good moments but pretty much nobody else deserves any credit.
That midfield, deary me. Thought Ferguson might have been more confident that McCann wasn’t there,  if only. Another game where the big EPL hope is a peripheral figure. To be fair, not his fault solely, the rest were clueless as well.
