Enjoyed they highlights. Najee Harris is superb player by the way. Steelers found a good one in the draft. 2 very poor QB performances though. Folk actually have Cousins in the MVP conversation……bot based on yesterday though. Ben is finished.

Wasn't at all impressed with his blitz pick-up, but sometimes that's a thing that takes a few years for RB's to get to grips with.

Did the steelers play without an OL in the first half? There was no protection for Ben at all (not saying that’s a bad thing though!)

Second half was a cracking game.

Or a defensive line, as shown by the running stats for the Vikings in the first half

Steelers gap discipline was non-existent in the first half, they were hell-bent on not letting the Vikes WR's behind them, so the LB's were getting swallowed up by blockers and any time Cook got to the LoS there was ten yards of daylight all around him. Changed a bit in the second half when Pitt started lining up a bit tighter across the DL and brought a Safety into the box, but then they got burned on the big TD throw.

The pass protection was largely rank, but there were a few time where BR himself didn't recognise where the pressure was pre-snap and rotate the pro. That's never been a strength of his, but he used to get away with it when he was mobile enough to evade the rush. He's a pocket statue these days and his subpar pre-snap recog is getting shown up. It was noisy as hell as well, and there were clear communication issues all night for Pitt.

Chargers really should be further ahead at half time, good game this

I really can't fathom why teams don't take an easy three points, stuff the "analytics". I'd much rather be 7 points up than 4.

There's the Chiefs just fucked a 4th and 1 near the goal line too, is it 4 for the Chargers now? Mental stuff.

That might be the worst attempt at a throw I've ever seen from Mahomes.

Chargers quickly up to midfield.

Staley is a moron, and his defense is hot fucking garbage.

KC couldn't have given LAC any more opportunities to put them away, and every single time Staley decides to play 4th down hero ball and hand the momentum straight back.

As for the coverage. For fucks sake. That's LAC's 5th Safety and CB out there, though they'd have been as well just playing with 9 for all the use they were.

Chargers (and a couple of other teams) have been doing this ‘going for it on every 4th down’ routine pretty much all season. For some reason all the media talking heads seem to love it, despite it often resulting in points left on the field.

Comes across as less analytics and more just trying to outsmart everyone else. Either way it’s pretty stupid.

Fangio explained it as you need 7 rather than 3 when you play the chiefs. that just proves that Reid/Mahomes is in there heads and they don't trust their defence to stop them.

I do agree with going for it when you have 4th and goal inside the 10. as even if you don't make it you have them pinned back and under their posts. Just like when the chargers intercepted Mahomes and got a TD out of it. but when you are further out just take the 3.

Surely now that will put this "analytics" shite to bed.
The game would never have went to overtime had the Chargers taken their field goal opportunities.

Agree with the injury to Parham, looked serious when he went down and lay with his arms extended. Looked nothing to it as he fell.
Hope all is ok with him.

Problem is the Chargers are pulling this nonsense every week, not just against the Chiefs.
