I do genuinely think this is a shame. He was relatively well respected, and probably had a decent future in football administration before the colts debacle.

I’m not sure quite how he managed to Mis judge the colts situation so badly, any one with half a brain could have predicted how this would go down, especially with all the good work that has happened in the east and west below the lowland league.

I can only put it down to him being leaned on (from not sure who) to bang the drum for colt teams, or he simply got far too big for his boots and seen it as a way to get in with the ugly sisters quickly. Either way he has now left the lowland league in a weaker position. League has a lot of work to do to get some credibility back!

There are people out there that believe that 'B' teams will be of a benefit for youth development at worse, and possibly a gain for lower league teams in terms of attendances and profile.

It's not exactly a surprise he was a supporter of the idea. Especially as it come with a bag of cash. BSC Glasgow once tried to get a 2nd XI into the West Juniors, and when that failed they had the original attempt at creating a WoSFL.

Now is the time to get people on board who dont have there own clubs self interests as there priority, They want fluidity from the league above but not the leagues below. Get football people from clubs like CCS etc back in who dont worry if there team were to be relegated, there must be 2  relegation/promotion spots from Lowland League going forward.

The EOS and WOS Premier leagues are both strong and clubs who do get relegated would probably be better off financially and still retain there licence and access too the Scottish Cup as well as being more competitive for them.

Jumped before he was pushed in all likelihood. There have been so many fiascos (trying to make Selkirk the bottom club after their record was expunged, his alleged role on option Z, SFA vetoing the WoS conferences plan, not understanding the lockdown rules applied to the U20s, not understanding the LL couldn't nominate a champion for a null and void season, extra year of eligibility for U20 league vs SYFA saga) before the latest one on starting a season with the Colts teams before the rules were signed off by the SFA that the only surprise is that he had so many defenders on here for so long.

Mainly the rabidly anti-SJFA rather than genuinely pro-pyramid types right enough who seem to think everything senior is automatically wonderful and above reproach. Judging from who has been appointed to the board things have swung over to the anti-Colts camp now. If Thomas Brown gets the chair job we'll know that process is complete and that Brechin City are unlikely to be appearing in the LL any time soon.

Left, pushed whatever thankfully he has gone and left those on the board to clean up his mess. He won’t be missed by me. Time will tell what happens to the future of the Football club he invented.

Dont know the other guys on the board but delighted that Brendan Parkinson as been elected to the Board.

C’mon The Rose 🌹🌹🌹

Not been following this story but if he had anything to do with that horrible pair's involvement then it's good news. The most ridiculous decision in the history of Scottish football, which takes some doing.

He was in that up to his eyeballs and appears to have misled the clubs into hastily approving it in a way that potentially jeopardises the Lowland League's Club 42 playoff participation this season because the validity of games played under an unapproved set of rules could easily be challenged. This might also get Vale of Leithen off the hook again on relegation.

No matter how stupid the Colts idea was the majority of the LL clubs also stupidly voted it through so I doubt that's the sole reason he's been pushed unless I'm missing something?

At the time the vote happened the SFA hadn't signed off on the changes. This was then hanging over the clubs once the season started, where it was supposedly intertwined with an attempt to change the HL/LL boundary.

The Colts were the root cause of it all.
