f**k Killie Dirty b*****ds I’m guessing although it should’ve been FDKB if in keeping with the lads from Somerset.

Nobody likes to keep with those cretins tbf.

Good win. Disappointing start as it was all Thistle for the first 20-25 minutes, but we were definitely in the ascendancy towards the end of the first half. Second half was all Killie - the penalty was abysmal, I was certain we were missing as soon the run-up was short. To get the goal, scrappy as it was, straight after that was excellent and the second goal - just wow. What a brilliant strike by Shaw, the kind that as soon as it left his foot you knew it was in. Very happy with the points but I'd like to see us improve a bit as had we come up against an opposition who were a bit sharper we'd have conceded early on.

Decent Killie crowd but the Ayr races definitely took a few hundred off that. Still, a great away day in the sun and a good Saturday. On to Arbroath in what will be a big test for us - I never ever thought I'd be typing that, but this is the mad world we find ourselves in...

I was there today and saw more than a few weil kent faces normally seen around RP and at away games .....

The "Ayr Ayr f**k yer Ayr" chant from those in the Club Stand was a nice wee touch after the last race and drew a few astonished looks from the neutrals 😂

Oli Shaw's goal was lovely can't wait to see it again, we're really solid at the back, Euan Murray is brilliant wins every header he's very vocal and that's what you want in a central defender it's also great having a keeper that commands his area so well.

Looking forward to the big one against Arbroath.

Thought we were excellent today.

Disappointed how we started, thought Jags got on the front foot quickly and we didn't do enough to stop them. We werent hunting folk down in twos out wide, we were allowing crosses, conceding chances. You start games like that you're asking for dropped points.

Thankfully we were able to relieve the pressure by starting to execute our own plans, which seemed to be balls over the top - not aimless hoofs, but well placed passes. Robinson had a great game, thought he took the first of these well, and don't know how he hasnt scored. Him and Shaw then linked up well - the feet from OS to get in the box were fantastic, again how he hasnt scored is a mystery! Murray was also very unlucky with his chance.

Second half I thought the instructions were clear, get the full backs and the wingers hunting in packs and stopping folk from getting down the channel in the first place. We werent giving them anywhere near the same opportunity to get wide and get a ball in. Often we were winning the ball back in the middle or restricting Thistle to turning back and passing it around the middle or back, which was a big improvement.

Got more on the front foot through the likes of Rory and Robinson. Robbo did well to win us the pen. TW right to choose Shaw as we want him off the mark but christ it was a honking pen and a worse rebound. Great play Robbo to get us the OG not long after. As for Shaw's wonderstrike, what a way to follow up a missed pen!

My wee boy has been going for about 6 years now and I'm struggling to think of a better goal he has seen in the flesh. Keen to see a replay, they dont come much sweeter than that.

Thought the subbies off the bench were good too. Saw a debate the other day about best squad in the division and think on today's evidence it has to be us. Good options off the bench with the likes of Burke, Stokes and Burrell still to come back.

Few pints in Wintergills before and after the game then a pizza on train down the road... if Carlsberg did Saturdays

While Shaw’s goal was a very good hit, I’m still absolutely furious at the “defending” for it. Atrocious.

Thought about it some more, and that reminded me of us early last season. Lots of pretty passing that doesn’t actually achieve anything, no cutting edge at all and always looking suspect at the back.

Killie will almost certainly win the league, as they look a very effective team.

McColl should stick to shitting in shoes.

He seemed to spend most of the game spitting out his chewing gum then picking it back up and throwing it away.

Also well done to the Thistle fans that came up with the absolute zinger of a song "you're just a shit Ayr utd"

Watching back that first goal and its just such a typically Thistle goal to concede. Have a penalty save, good times are here and then shortly after completely shattered. Its a cruel existence. Basically if want material for your emo band support Thistle.

Seems my confidence after the Morton game - the only other match I've attended this season - was misplaced massively.

An insipid performance on the pitch and in the dugout - the substitutions and tactical changes served to make things worse.

Tiffoney's dive was the ultimate embarrassment.
