Andy Walker went from saying it's never a penalty to begging the ref to send the player off.

He's the type of commentator we're all raging about that's gushing absolute shite about England during a major tournament on ITV.

Same with Levein and Willie Miller on the radio, they were saying Adams could get booked for a dive. They never realised that he was being held and threw his right leg to reach the ball, but couldn't make it because he was being hauled back.

Shocking the No 4 hasn't walked there. No doubt the c**t will score later on.

Chuffed for Lyndon. He lost his mother in law earlier in the week and you could see genuine emotion in his celebration there.

I didn’t know that, poor guy.

I agree, but im pretty certain it’s only for offsides, straight reds and penalties. Can’t retroactively give a yellow.

The referee can give a yellow if he misses the original decision. He could have done in this case.

VAR can't be used to tell the referee he's missed a yellow card (e.g. if it would have resulted in a red card).

You do him a disservice.

He simply said that he didn't think it was a penalty but given the the referee gave it, it surely follows that the defender should have been cautioned.

It's went in, so I appreciate we shouldn't care, but what a terrible fucking penalty from Dykes.
Lucky it was an ex-Kilmarnock keeper in goal.
A terrible penalty is one that doesn't go in. It hit the back of the net, that's all that matters.

Fair enough, refs just shat it then.
