We - me, my brother and two of my cousins - gorged ourselves on Tunnocks Caramel Wafers after (at least) a box of them ended up in the house, this was late 50s early 1960.

I was only able to start eating them again a couple of years ago.

My mate had a dodgy uncle who worked in the Mars bar factory and would give them nicked Mars Bars.

The whole family were sick of them so they used to give them to me :)

White Lightning was probably the first drink I got pished on. I'm sure it was about £2.99 for 2/3 litres. Absolute gut rot but did what you bought it for at the age of 15. I think it's no longer produced and for all I love actual cider now.I probably wouldn't be able to drink it.

Cheesy Cheetos I used to absolutely love. They must have changed the recipe though because they tasted bogging a year or so after I tried my first bag and have never bought a pack since. 11329_White-Lightning-cider.jpgimages.jpg

I used to get a square sausage supper from  my local chippy when I was younger  .never had one since .never even seen them on a menu of a chip shop .also at school it was dolly beads and irn bru bars .

I remember the school banning dolly beads because someone got a sore ping too the eye with them .you could fair get a fair shot from them .

Valerios in Lanark do a battered square sausage on their menu.

I forgot about these. Treacle sponge pudding with custard might be the greatest gustatory experience possible to humans. Delightful.

Primary school flapjacks. I grew up thinking I loved flapjacks. Turns out whatever they made then with (possibly diabetes) made them so good. Adult flapjacks are shite.

Used to love these, even though the nearest to any chicken they would have been was passing a farm on the lorry their crate was on.

Then they either changed the recipe or vastly more likely I realised they were not that good.

The revelation that they were discontinued years ago was not suprising.
