Pollok 1 Darvel 0 ft

Folk will be focusing on the Darvel meltdown after this but it's a massive result for Pollok. Pretty much announces their title challenge from being something of a dark horse so far.

Excellent game at Newlandsfield today, played in front of a good crowd (which I am sure exact number will be confirmed as Pollok do that…)

Feared for us today with so many players out and players played out of position as only fit ones available.

Difficult first 10 minutes and Darvel should really have scored at least 1.

After that we settled, pressed them high and got at them with the pace we had and they struggled to cope with that. Forced the defense into errors and that’s how we got our goal. Should then have went on to score more in the first half.

Second half was a battle and Darvel came more into it, without really creating anything and limited to shots from range.

We then really should have went two up again from pressing the defense when Graham went 1 on 1 and should have squared it for a tap in.

Unless our injury list gets better quickly, which doesn’t sound too hopeful, we will have results like today and then results like Bonnington, which makes it difficult to put together a title challenge. However fully expect us to give most teams in the league a tough game and will be in the top 4/5 come the end of the season

Well done Bankies today, thanks to the good folks at Bonnyton for the warm welcome, love the set up they have and their goal was a screamer. They looked dangerous earlier on. Delighted with the 3 points, mon the bankies!
It's a terrible place to watch football.
No cover or toilets .

Thought Pollok played well today. Got their tactics spot on. Was impressed with the number 10 dunno who he is.

There's plenty of toilets. In clubhouse and there's a block about in line with penalty box on the gate side. It'll be a work in progress. Same with everyone

Meadow 2-1 Mussey

this tie is like a throwback to a Junior Cup quarter final or something from 10 years ago. Can't beat a good east v west ding dong.

was there a decent turn out?

902 confirmed at Newlandsfield today.

take it that's almost entirely home fans?

it's going to be class when there's a big away support from Bankies, Talbot, etc.
