Medda vs Penicuik the obvious standout. Blantyre vs Broxburn, Hurlford vs Blackburn, Kilbirnie vs Caledonian Braves & Cumbernauld Colts vs Tynecastle interesting cross-league/region ties.

Bo'ness Athletic-Glenafton & Cumbernauld Colts-Tynecastle will need to be moved as Bo'ness United & Clyde are both at home that day.

Irvine Meadow v Penicuik definitely headlines.

Bo'ness Athletic v Glenafton, Glenrothes v Clydebank, Kilbirnie v Caledonian Braves and Haddington v Spartans could be interesting.

Largs v Troon, Lochore v Dundonald and Newmains v East Kilbride give some derby flavour.

Bo'ness Athletic 2-0 Glenafton Athletic
Cumbernauld Colts 4-3 Tynecastle (aet, FT 3-3)

Weekend starts with a major shock as Bo'ness Athletic of the East First Division Conference X eliminates Glenafton of the West Premier.

Tynecastle of the East Premier also give Cumbernauld Colts of the Lowland a real fright.

I was at Newtown Park tonight and Bo'ness Athletic fully deserved their win.  Indeed, it should have been more.  It was 2-0 at half time as Bo'ness used the elements and their pace to full advantage against a disappointing Glenafton side..  In a short period during the second half, Bo'ness' left winger passed up on four chances with only the keeper to beat,, but missed the target on three occasions and the keeper saved the other.

Petershill 5-0 Greenock
Pollok 2-1 Harthill Royal
Sauchie 3-2 Preston Athletic
Syngenta 3-1 Edinburgh United
Threave Rovers 1-3 Civil Service Strollers (at Queen of the South)
Tranent 3-0 Lugar Boswell Thistle
Vale of Leven 3-1 Edinburgh University
Whitletts Victoria 1-2 Arthurlie

Shock of the day goes to Blantyre who eliminated Broxburn on penalties after a highscoring encounter, and Vale of Leven who sit 2nd bottom of their West First Division conference yet heartily dispatched Edinburgh Uni of the Lowland. Having led a surprisingly big margin of defeat for Penicuik.

Darvel of the West Premier easily swatted aside Gretna of the Lowland in the lagging R2 tie and will host Cambuslang in R3.

Bo'ness United 3-0 East Kilbride Thistle seems to be the only one missing from today's fixtures.

Should be some quality ties in the next round.
