After the Accies game, I don't think I'll ever moan about an astute defence performance and not chasing more goals when you're in a 2-0 lead. We could've had more goals but for an excellent save and some poor decision making. At the back, Benedictus and Berra were excellent - the Ayr commentary were slaughtering Berra for doing centre half things but he really looked a class above tonight. Mid-September was the earliest date…that assumes just 6 weeks. With working to fitness, I’d say Partick more likely than Morton, and Celtic would be a poor choice, at least for a start. Hopefully Connolly not seriously injured and just a precaution. Fotheringham looked lively when he came on though. Ayr are terrible. Didn’t really force a save from MacDonald, and as others have stated Berra and Benedictus were excellent. The referee was fucking pish. A raging homer then brings out a straight red for Afolabi. Was strange sitting in the stand actually.
