Bishop Briggs
West Brom have sacked Valerian Ismael - a day after he terminated Robert Snodgrass's contract. BBC - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60149753 "The 46-year-old Frenchman took the Baggies to fifth in the Championship - but fans had voiced their concerns over his style of football." Bizarre timing! Edited February 2, 2022 by Bishop Briggs
DrewDon
Weird to think that West Brom had probably the best manager in the Championship at the moment within their grasp before they appointed Ismael.

It looks like West Brom will appoint Steve Bruce. Sky Sports says that Roy Keane, Neil Lennon, Grant McCann and Neil Warnock are on Sunderland's shortlist!
Charles Stiles
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60350198 That's Morris bought off Gibson. One down, one to go for Derby.

Charles Stiles
I missed Steve Bruce actually being appointed by West Brom. Good move giving him an 18 month contract. Sort his team out this season, promotion next season then they can wave him goodbye as they get someone better in that'll see them through the next couple of seasons before going back down again to be replaced by Norwich or Fulham.
Steve_Wilkos
I'm at the Boro Derby match today. Disappointed to find out that I will not get to see Graeme Shinnie in the flesh again.
19QOS19
Is there anything funnier than a steward falling on their arse? Same guy just did it twice in the Reading game [emoji38]
Clockwork
Leaders Fulham surprisingly 0-2 down at home to Huddersfield Town at HT. The second from the spot is an absolute joke decision though. It’s incredible how soft Penalty awards have become in modern football. The keeper makes no challenge whatsoever and shapes to collect the ball, the forward deliberately runs across him and drops like he’s been shot. Ref blows up and orders the spot kick. Hate to see it, load of shite. [emoji53]

Charles Stiles
Derek Adams back to Morecambe unsurprisingly. Mark Hughes in at Bradford City very surprisingly.

TheScarf
I watched West Brom v Swansea last night. The Baggies are woeful. Some amount of shite in that squad. Think they were 2nd favourites to win the league too.

Charles Stiles
Raven's probably taking aviation's approach to Luton and counting it as London.

No, just mentioning that Snodgrass has joined Luton Town where 2 other Scottish players (Campbell and Naismith) are currently regular starters. Both in good form. Maybe the proximity to Luton Town Airport with its cheap and regular flights to Glasgow is a factor in who they chose to sign for.
