Wonder if any current SJFA clubs would consider giving up their membership to enter the Strathclyde Cup next season? There's only been a handful of occasions that the Cup Winners Shield has been used as a qualifying spot for the Scottish Cup. Everytime won by the EoS Alex Jack Cup winner and they were ruled out of competing in the AJC the following season as the Scottish & AJC dates were the same. Although not sure if it's more of a rule that precludes a Scottish Cup participant from competiting in the same season's qualifier. The Strathclyde Cup doesn't have the clash problem as they used different dates from the Scottish Cup. Which had me wondering. This competition shall be played by member clubs that are not full members of the Scottish Football Association, nor in membership of the Scottish Junior Football Association.4.
