tamthebam
Big Haynesie has got Dunbar playing some good stuff. A good game in the sunshine with a large crowd, some good goals, a red card and a spectacular Broxburn feck up for the 3rd made for an entertaining afternoon. I quite liked the wee Dunbar lad winning the ball and then playing keepie up with his head before being clattered for taking the pish!

HibeeJibee
Penicuik v Tranent a stand-out which could even contend for TV coverage. Dunbar v Camelon guarantees another EOSL side into R2. Beyond that not a great draw: lots of Highland League opponents (most away) but in particular Preston, Jeanfield, Haddington and Dunipace should all think themself at least capable of taking it back to their own patch. Formidable opponents for others. Newtongrange, Coldstream and Dalkeith/Burntisland won't be favourites in their ties. LTHV are capable of dispatching struggling Edinburgh Uni.

Hopefully, but a lot of competition with LL vs LL game and the Medda vs Talbot… If not it’s the same day as Truckfest, and I really fancied being at this one!

Broxburn did it a few years ago and it can be a real adventure. Always a great place to visit. Ross Allum must have had his shooting boots stolen by Jamie Devlin.

That Penicuik v TJFC tie is cracker.....however I'd put my money on the Irvine Meadow v Auchinleck as being the one that would attract the publics attention. Dunbar v Camelon - not very much between them at the recent league match. It could be the same again.

Cracking entertainment and great to see Dalkeith finally get rewarded for their endeavors of the field these last few years. Blood, sweat and tears according to their Website and FB report is very apt.
HibeeJibee
Weekend ties involving EOSL clubs: Saturday 18th September 2021 Fraserburgh v Sauchie Newtongrange Star v Dalbeattie Star Penicuik Athletic v Tranent (2:30pm) Blackburn United v Rothes Coldstream v East Kilbride Clydebank v Dalkeith Thistle Lossiemouth v Preston Athletic Dunbar United v Camelon Inverurie Loco Works v Jeanfield Swifts Huntly v Hill of Beath Hawthorn Deveronvale v Haddington Athletic Clachnacuddin v Dunipace Tynecastle v Brora Rangers Sunday 19th September 2021 Lothian Thistle HV v Edinburgh University Tie of the day is Penicuik-Tranent while Dunbar-Camelon guarantees another to progress. Hard to see where many more wins or replays are going to emerge from but LTHV, Preston, Hill of Beath and Haddington might deliver a couple... hopefully some unexpected shocks too.

HibeeJibee
With the exception of 3 utter doings for Coldstream, Dalkeith and Tynecastle it was an outstanding afternoon's work for EOS clubs. Sauchie (31 places below) won at unbeaten HL leaders Fraserburgh. Preston (33 places) spanked Lossiemouth on their own patch, as did Jeanfield (24 places) at Inverurie, and Dunipace (37 places) won at Clachnacuddin. Haddington (28 places) bring Deveronvale back for a replay. Newtongrange also held Dalbeattie of LL but perhaps their best opportunity has now gone. Blackburn only narrowly lost to Rothes, while Hill of Beath went down at Huntly. Dunbar's fairytale continued beating Camelon while I saw Tranent squeak a tight clash at Penicuik. LTHV host Edinburgh Uni tomorrow. Saturday 18th September 2021 Fraserburgh 1-2 Sauchie Newtongrange Star 1-1 Dalbeattie Star Penicuik Athletic 1-3 Tranent Blackburn United 1-2 Rothes Coldstream 1-10 (ten) East Kilbride Clydebank (seven) 7-0 Dalkeith Thistle Lossiemouth 0-3 Preston Athletic Dunbar United 2-0 Camelon Inverurie Loco Works 0-3 Jeanfield Swifts Huntly 3-0 Hill of Beath Hawthorn Deveronvale 2-2 Haddington Athletic Clachnacuddin 1-2 Dunipace Tynecastle 0-6 Brora Rangers Edited September 18, 2021 by HibeeJibee

Dalry llama
Was also at Penicuick, not quite the 'cracker' many anticipated. Both teams seemed to play the occasion rather than their usual game for the first 20 minutes. Penicuick taking the lead with a nicely delivered free kick strongly headed home. When Tranent finally kept the ball on the deck they got the rewards. The third goal merely confirming the result as Penicuick had ran out of ideas at 1-2 down.
Burnieman
A bit gutting in the end losing to a last minute goal. We more than matched Rothes first half despite missing a few players (dont think we had a full bench) but they stepped up a gear second and in the end deserved the win, they're a good side and you can see why they are unbeaten this season. Crowd of around 300 was also great to see. Good to see some fantastic wins for EoS sides

HibeeJibee
Worth recalling that under new format all Championship + SPFL1 sides enter R3... so 6 clubs through - and 3 that may join them - now 1 win from potentially facing Dunfermline/Inverness/Kilmarnock/Partick/Falkirk/etc.
