I imagine they've taken their foot off the gas and also can't be arsed with the 17 cup competitions they have to play every season. Losing on Saturday means 2 less cup games for them now before the HL play off. Def didn't throw the game, just nothing worked up front until a few mins from the end and they were really going for it.

Well no they didn't throw the game, but league champions always take their foot off the gas when the title is sewn up. There's no way they gave a hoot about that cup game on Saturday, they'll be focusing on the playoff.

welshbairn
I see BoD drew at home to Banchory today. Wonder if too much giving the second string an outing and general sloppiness could kick them in arse when they face fixture heavy Fort? I'd imagine Fort will give up any hope of avoiding the play off pretty soon, and will use their remaining games as preparation for the big show. The tables above are from Wikipedia where someone added the first and second division tables recently - nothing has been made public regarding promotion/relegation though and the rules are not available. They'll need to deal with BOD getting promoted and clubs coming back from abeyance before deciding how next season is set up.

craigkillie
They could play them after the play-offs - Edinburgh City did that when they got promoted to the SPFL back in 2016.

Both games are against teams still playing games next week so waiting until May shouldn't be a problem, especially the Dyce fixture as they still have 7 league games to go.

Ambitious signs from a couple of sides in the NCL and NRJFA, but most likely the only extra licensed teams next season will be from the Midland League, Lochee United and Tayport. They'll have to win the small matter of their league first of course!

Jimmy Shaker
The junior type i know said there’s talk of league reconstruction once again. Someone’s shown an interest in restarting Lossie United, and there’s other names possibly wanting back in.

There are a number of teams in all 3 leagues who have the ambition to get licensed, but they will all need more time. At least we'll have more money to spend next season as the ground improvements have been paid now & we'll get Scottish Cup income. That obviously won't guarantee anything as winning the league will still be tough, but it would definitely help. And if we win the league, it will help that we won't have to face Banks O'Dee in a play-off.
