All jokes aside St Mirren should be really proud of their performance, it's an excellent point to take back to Glasgow.

Insert appropriate fishing gif here.

I’ve not watched the match yet, but it seems like it was a thoroughly entertaining game of football.

A bit of a shame then that the majority of post match posts - from both teams - have been the way they’ve been.

Almost impossible to extrapolate the rest of the season from day one; but from a Saints perspective playing away to a newly promoted team on the opening day and not losing has to be pretty positive.

Nobody is denying Dundee are rubbish and this is a very, very disappointing result for St Mirren tbf.

Absolutely, its not often the officials of the SFA give you a numerical advantage and one of the softest penalty awards ever seen in the land - yet you still failed miserably to take advantage. For as shit as Dundee are, its heartening to see them swagger to a point with all that going against them. As for St Mirren, well, let's just hope the ideas are bucked up considerably.

Yes, if was a Dundee fan I'd be absolutely delighted at clinging on to a point against a team like St Mirren. Well done, can't even say it wasn't just about deserved. Some deep soul searching required for St Mirren though, unacceptable result.

Jim was very honest in his post-match comments. He admitted we should have gone on to dominate Dundee when they were down to 10 men and the defence was terrible for the Cummings goal.
Hopefully we can put this behind us next week.   We can’t play that poorly every week.

Reading some of the shite here you'd think St Mirren were Man City compared to Dundee.

The truth is there was very little in it and the game could have gone either way. Only the sending off gave St Mirren a sustained period of being on top - yet bar one chance, they did very little with it.

A point apiece was about right.

You obviously wouldn't have seen much of St. Mirren last season but that soft penalty yesterday but would have been well down the list of soft penalties they got last season. Welcome to the Premiership.

This is the sort of nonsensical pish that the real Elvis would've been jibbering in his drug infused latter years.

Absolute pish.

Thank you.

Just seen that tackle from Anderson.  World class.

The other boy should've been sent off for simulation. Ridiculous dive.

That would have sounded better if you hadn't had a man sent off for attempting to remove one of our players spleen.

Never knew the spleen could be booted out the lower leg.

Thank you.

Ignore the fact it was in the box: was it a foul? The answer is 'yes', btw.

I'd have to disagree there and say 'no'.

McPake confirming that McGhee and Marshall hadn't trained at all last week due to self isolating and neither did 2 of our 3 subs. So to sum up, we had 10 players out overall, 6 with covid, 4 with injuries in the lead up, had a further blow as another 2 went off injured in the first half, played our 4th and 5th choice central midfielders, gave away an extremely soft penalty and had a man sent off. Yet the best St Mirren side of our time still only got a point.

Pleasing.
