DrewDon
If this "Ten Hag" bloke has any sense about him, he'll be opening talks with Mark Goldbridge to get him in as assistant. They need a proper football man in the dugout who knows the club inside out.

craigkillie
Neville saying he'd prefer Pochettino over Ten Hag. A mental take from him.Ten Hag has zero track record outside of Ajax, he could easily be another Frank de Boer. Pochettino is an excellent manager who has proved himself at this level already - the fact he is the latest guy to fail to corral the freakshow at PSG shouldn't take away from his success at Southampton and Spurs (and Espanyol).

Ten Hag did really well at Utrecht before joining Ajax, he also got Go Ahead Eagles promoted to the Eredivise for the first time in ages before he went to Bayern. Even though De Boer had success during his time at Ajax the fans weren't happy with the football on show. Fwiw I've always been impressed by how Ten Hag comes across In interviews - never seems completely happy with performances and always wants more from his team, wether that will make any difference at the basket case that is Man Utd remains to be seen.
Bairnardo
Enjoyed a typically intelligent and reasoned piece from Michael Owen today that Salah will sign on again at Liverpool, because his options are limited to a sideways move to Man City, or a downward move to any other football team on the planet. That's #Barclays.

That's #Barclays. That's #Barclays typical nonsense from Owen who got paid £millions for doing Sweet FA. Salah will see out his current contract like Rudiger, Pogba and Mbappe. He will accept the most lucrative offer (including a huge signing-on fee) from one of the biggest clubs in the Champions League. Reports say that Rudiger wants a signing-on fee of £25m. Salah could get well over £50 million and double his current wages. Edited March 29, 2022 by Bishop Briggs

Yup, a positvely mental take from a known idiot, who has the unique distinction of being disliked by the fans of pretty much every club he played for.

TheScarf
Brighton post a £55 million loss up to June 2021 to prove how fucking mental the money is down there. Those cunts nearly didn't have a ground a decade ago.

"Brighton chief executive Paul Barber said 'roughly half' of the losses could be directly attributed to the global pandemic." "Our matchday, commercial and event turnover was all but wiped out for the entire season, and we incurred various additional costs for providing a Covid-secure environment for players, officials, staff and fans." -
RawB93
So... they did post a loss of £55m up to June 2021?
NorthernLights
If you think Brighton losses are bad then Everton posted their 3rd year in a row of losses > £100million. Quote Everton "remain in a secure financial position" thanks to owner Farhad Moshiri despite posting losses of more than £110m for a third straight season. The Premier League club, who are just three points above the relegation zone, registered losses of £120.9m for the 2020-21 season. However, £103m of that figure is attributed to the impact of Covid-19. That comes after previous losses of £111.8m and £139.8m for the two previous seasons. That makes a combined loss of £372m over three years, but the club say Covid-19 losses over the past two years amount to £170m, including last season where games were played behind closed doors. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60919913?at_medium=RSS&at_campaign=KARANGA
DrewDon
Can I just shock you? I like match-going England fans. Despite what I just said earlier.
bdu98196
More embarrassing or even disturbing is the quotes from the England manager, choosing to exercise his right to condemn those fans who boo but then comparing it to the boo's in the 80's & 90's players like Barnes received. The idea that he thinks this is even the same level or scenario is shocking and I wonder what any of his players like Sterling or Rashford etc who actively campaign against racism think of this very poor comparison by Southgate. Agree mate - a disgusting level of ignorance and arrogance shown by Southgate to compare the booing of Maguire to what went on in the 80’s and 90’s.
