senorsoupe
Roy Hodgson must not like spending time with his wife very much if he continues to go back into football management at age 74

But he didn’t. So it isn’t. Irrelevant! If the ball is in play, anywhere, and a forward is fouled in the opposition penalty area, it’s a penalty. Doesn’t matter where the ball is - it could even be on the goal line at the other end. That doesn’t mean I think it was a foul though and I’m a Liverpool supporter!

Bairnardo
Have to laugh at the Everton analysis on SSN at the minute. Lots of chat about how they have lost their identify, DNA, bla bla and need to get all that back, then when discussing how to get it back the answer is to get a top class management team and players in to "play with an identity". For all of that read "throw money at it".When will folk realise that the EPL if not already there, is well on the way to being a franchise league and club "DNA" no longer exists. Talk has now moved on to giving it to big Dunc because hes an Everton man.... Man United current disaster is all about misguided fan appeasement appointments whilst their rivals hire coaches at the top of their game hence leaving them about a billion pounds worth of talent in their wake.
Bishop Briggs
Vitor Pereira is reported to be the favourite for the Everton job. With his recent record of sackings, he'd be a very popular appointment - with Liverpool fans!

You can imagine the Everton board appointing Lampard because of some graffiti. Never mind that Chelsea soared after he was sacked. What a strange bunch. Hope it does badly for them. Like Newcastle and West Ham they appear to have delusions of grandeur. Still a good laugh when West Ham got rid of Moyes to hire a big name in Pellegrini, and were spitting blood when he returned. The vocal minority of football fans really are idiots.

Ferguson could end up being the compromise appointment. He deserves a chance even if it's only until the end of the season. The squad is mediocre and needs more investment so Everton could go down anyway.
