Nobody wants a title race getting in the way of that.

Grangemouth Bairn
With that team selection vs the team selection in the FA Cup Final it appears the grinning gimp has prioritised the FA Cup over the league. That’s very unusual in modern era football.

Bishop Briggs
Lazy Gomez was ball-watching and couldn't be arsed to close down or challenge. Redmond had loads of time to run down the flank and pick his spot. Edited May 17, 2022 by Bishop Briggs

If West Ham had held on against Man City on Sunday I would imagine their line up tonight would be somewhat different.
Cptn Hooch
Joe Gomez should be booked for that dive...not the fact it was a dive but just for the fact it was such a shit attempt at a dive

senorsoupe
Matip was in the right place at the right time, but that was a poor defensive header by Elyounoussi

Bishop Briggs
Southampton are playing as if it's a friendly or a training game. There's no passion or real desire to even get an equaliser against Klopp's reserves. Man City fans must be raging at the telly.
craigkillie
Shocked to discover that actually Liverpool have some pretty good players outside their normal starting XI and that rotating doesn't guarantee them a 5-0 defeat as the posters on here were implying.

A one goal Liverpool win was about the right result given the quality of the two teams put out there. Goal difference won't matter unless City get completely horsed on Sunday, which will never happen, so Liverpool just needed to get the 3 points

At some point Hasenhutl will have exhausted all the credit he had for the end of the 2019-20 season. Southampton have been Mediocre Mince for a whole now. Good enough to stay up, but that's about it
