I think Klopp is gambling on Southampton to continue to be as shit as they have been the last couple of months.

Before he nicks any gems in their squad?

Is Klopp trying to give City the title tonight?

Southampton must be delighted to see this line-up, especially the midfield.

1 Alisson

12 Gomez

32 Matip

5 Konaté

21 Tsimikas

17 Jones

7 Milner

67 Elliott

18 Minamino

9 Firmino

20 Jota

Substitutes

6 Thiago Alcántara

8 Keïta

14 Henderson

15 Oxlade-Chamberlain

23 Díaz

26 Robertson

27 Origi

46 R Williams

62 Kelleher

He’s obviously given up on the league title/quadruple.

Klopp knows that the final day of the EPL season is always all about who gets that all important final Champions League spot. Nobody wants a title race getting in the way of that.

With that team selection vs the team selection in the FA Cup Final it appears the grinning gimp has prioritised the FA Cup over the league. That’s very unusual in modern era football.

I would guess he's just prioritised the competitions that he thinks they can win. If West Ham had held on against Man City on Sunday I would imagine their line up tonight would be somewhat different.

Would have accepted that if he hadn’t been bragging about the quadruple!!

Shocked to discover that actually Liverpool have some pretty good players outside their normal starting XI and that rotating doesn't guarantee them a 5-0 defeat as the posters on here were implying.

A one goal Liverpool win was about the right result given the quality of the two teams put out there.  Goal difference won't matter unless City get completely horsed on Sunday, which will never happen, so Liverpool just needed to get the 3 points

How poor was that Southampton performance. Their fans cannot be happy with that mediocre mince.

At some point Hasenhutl will have exhausted all the credit he had for the end of the 2019-20 season.  Southampton have been Mediocre Mince for a whole now.  Good enough to stay up, but that's about it
